LA Police Want to Speak to Mel Gibson a Third Time

Mel Gibson has been seeing a lot of the LA County Sheriff's Department lately. Investigators are looking to speak with the actor for a third time in connection to extortion claims against Oksana Grigorieva, TMZ reports.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the continuing series of interviews strongly hints at the department taking the extortion case very seriously, though the investigation won't wrap for at least several weeks.

In July, Gibson, 54, initially seemed the sole bad guy in a series of leaked tapes of him screaming at ex-girlfriend Oksana, the mother of his baby daughter. TMZ quickly advanced the story with sources boasting "hard proof" that Grigorieva used audio rants to attempt to extort him of more than $10 million. In return, she allegedly would have kept the tapes under wraps.

Mel began dating Oksana just a few weeks after his ex-wife of over 30 years filed for divorce.

It was recently revealed that Gibson crashed his car in Malibu.

He said he met her after his divorce from his wife. She is a beautiful woman and listening to her on the tapes on tv, she has a beautiful voice and sounds sincere. I think the turning point was when he hit her in the mouth and broke her teeth. I read that he also threw a chair through a window. We dont know what is going on with him and why he acted that way. I would think it would be difficult to have another relationship with someone when he was married so many yrs to his lst wife and has about 9 (?) kids from that marriage. He must be divided in too many directions. Just my opinion.

Michael I think you must be high on something. Most Americans are disgusted with Gibson and his tirades. His career is over.

Look, In May they reached an agreement with attorneys and Oksana signed it. She was getting LOTS of money. Even health insurance on herself and life insurance on Mel (1 million)plus house, car, alimony, college money for child, and naturally child support. Mel got 50/50 with child. All Oksana had to do was destory any tape recordings, pictures, e-mails & do forth, that made Mel look bad. All parties agreed & signed. 1 month later, on Father's Day, Oksana wouldn't let Mel have the child for the day. He had a special day with all the rest of his kids. This was when the whole thing started. Oksana wanted more money. Mel refused. She started leaking the tapes to the media...the ones she promised (legally) to destroy. Mel knew immediately this would destroy his career. Oksana said she would stop if he gave her more money. he refused. She leaked more tapes and pictures of what she said was of Mel knocking her teeth out. I don't know if any of the tapes we have heard are new tapes or tapes of before they reached their settlement. I do know this...She told Mel she would stop if he gave her more money. The agreement she signed IS legal and it was witnessed and she agreed to destroy the tapes. This is extortion. Plain and simple. Am I happy about the things Mel said on these tapes? NO WAY!! But we don't know what she was saying or doing...do we? She probably planned to tape him and wrote out a script & started pushing his buttons. Here is a man that thought I have finally got rid of the worse mistake in my life and now it is a gift that keeps on giving. He can't get work now, because she released the tapes, he has given her all this money, he is paying his ex-wife alimoney & child support....Oksana was a VERY costly mistake for Mel. It has driven him to the breaking point. Don't be so quick to judge him; what would you be acting like if you were in his shoes? His ex even told the media that Mel had never been violent, so what makes anyone think than Oksana is not lying about that also?
