Rapper T.I. and New Bride Arrested for Drugs

T.I. and wife Tameka Cottle, who were married in a secret Miami ceremony just one month ago, were arrested in LA for alleged possession of a controlled substance, TMZ reports. T.I. is still on probation after a seven-month prison stint on federal weapons charges.

Police sources tell TMZ that LA County sheriff's deputies pulled the 29-year-old hip-hop star over on Sunset Boulevard at 10:30 PM on Wednesday, smelling marijuana. The two were arrested after a search of the car came up with a controlled substance.

T.I. and Tameka were released on $10,000 bail early Thursday morning.

UPDATE: Law enforcement is telling TMZ the substance was a "small amount" of ecstasy and that the pills are being tested.

T.I. and Cottle have two children together. The rapper was released from jail earlier this year and made his big return to the music world last month when he performed live at the 2010 BET awards.

I love DWTS, and am an avid fan. I love to see the stars and the pros, but this cast will have my TV on another network on Monday and Tuesday, ABC is grasping and now ANYONE can be a star. I love Cheryl Burke she is the greatest, but as for ABC; Give me a break.
