Diddy Sued for Age Discrimination After Firing 51-Year-Old

A New York woman has sued rapper-producer Sean "Diddy" Combs, 40, saying he fired her because of her age two decades after she helped launch his career.

Fifty-one-year-old Francesca Spero filed the age discrimination lawsuit Wednesday in federal court in Manhattan.

The lawsuit says the Malverne resident introduced Combs to hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and Uptown Records after meeting Combs in 1988. It says she worked at Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment record label as an executive for 12 years before being fired in March.

The lawsuit says Spero was fired after having hip surgery and confiding to an executive that she was treated for a drug dependency relapse.

A publicist for Combs says "there are many reasons why Ms. Spero is no longer employed by Bad Boy, but age discrimination is not one of them."

nicko toscani. You are obviously a drug addict or related to drug addicts. You cannot blame your own lack of self control on others, and a simple typo, "be" instead of "being", is hardly a reason the name call. The reason people name call is due to overemotional responses when they have no logical refutation to make. Drug addicts bring it on themselves. You may now sink back into your drug-addled stupor.

Diddy is a thief anyway! He stole a song of my son's from his website and just got away with it. I hope some one puts him in his place. By the way if he should see this, the song is called DiddyBop! And you nkow how you got that song!

Age discrimination happens, but it seems to me that her own lawsuit with the statement about a drug dependency relapse paints a very different picture.

I can't say that P. Diddy fired this woman because of her age, but it is likely. If you truly think about it though, some people do get discriminated because of their age. It's one of the reasons why there is still unemployment in the country. Most managers want these kids fresh out of high school instead of an experienced adult, because they want someone for their customers to gawk at which in turn brings them back again and again bringing more money to their business.
