Teresa Giudice Allegedly Hid Major Assets in Filing for Bankruptcy

A New Jersey lawyer for the Dept. of Justice handling the case of Teresa and Joe Giudice in federal bankruptcy court has filed a complaint on Thursday objecting to the couple's request for Chapter 7 protection, claiming they intentionally failed to reveal major assets in their original petition. The court documents that appear to have been filed by Roberta A. DeAngelis have surfaced on a 'Housewife' blog. Sources of income alleged to be missing from the bankruptcy filing? The court documents list a $250,000 book advance from Hyperion received by Teresa for her cookbook 'Skinny Italian,' her ownership of an online boutique called TGFabulicious and more.

The objection reads: "To date, the Defendants have not filed amended schedules that disclose the existence of the book 'Skinny Italian,' the publishing deal with Hyperion, Defendant wife's ownership of TG Fabulicious, LLC, or Defendant husband's ownership of 1601 Maple Avenue Associates, LLC."

The claim further alleges that the couple were untruthful in previous sworn testimony ("the Defendants have knowingly and fraudulently made false oaths in this case") as the contract with Hyperion was reportedly dated Oct. 22, 2009 -- just prior to the Guidices' petition for bankruptcy protection -- and signed within weeks of filing for Chapter 7. While Teresa has reportedly acknowledged in an April 2010 examination under oath that she received the book advance, her legal team has apparently done little to officially update court records about the newly disclosed assets.

Meanwhile, many of the couple's priciest belongings -- from vehicles to furniture -- were set to be auctioned off this month, but RadarOnline.com reports that lawyers for the couple are now trying to avoid the spectacle of a public auction by arranging for a more private sale.

Well, I would not be surprized if the Feds subpoenaed all the video tapes footage of Teresa aka the "New Jersey Gorilla" on her many spending sprees to see what else she is hiding from bankruptcy court.

You are all so busy making fun of her looks ! This is a serious federal case and you best believe Uncle Sam is taking a deeper look into their finances.

By doing this show they exposed themselves to this scrutiny. I'm sure all the show's are going to be reviewed. Someone is going to jail time in this case and I doubt it will be Teresa because of the 4 daughters.

Its pretty bad to file bankrupcy, but to his money back while doing it? There should be a huge fine for doing this.
Trying to look, and act like one is rich, while owing so much money is plain pathetic. It has to be hard living a double life, while trying to raise kids at the same time.
I have to wonder whos idea it was to live that way. It has to be tough trying to look rich, while stuggeling to pay the bills.
I dont feel bad for this couple at all. The kids have to be confussed.

Last week a candidate for Prime Minister in Japan, said Americans were stupid. At first, I was somewhat indignant, then I realized he must have seen the top rated shows Americans watch: Housewives (all), Jersey Shore, Kardashians, Jerry Springer etc. Maybe he wasn't far off.

Well, let's see. Going by the way Caroline sees things about others. Teresa is garbage...And when I said she was garbage, I meant she was garbage.

I'm just glad to read that a few people on here agree with what I've been saying for a year now: Teresa is the true crazy on the show. Danielle isn't even in the same league. I've never seen Danielle physically attack anyone, while I've seen her attacked twice. I've never heard her hissing like a demon after flying into a rage, unlike Teresa last Monday. I guess what really amazes me is "holier-than-thou" Caroline actually DEFENDS Teresa's behavior and calls Danielle "garbage." They all act like it's "cute" instead of dangerous. Even Andy indulges and coddles her like a precious egg. Are you kidding me? Something's really off about these people -- and that's not New Jersey, that's just them.

She's part of a reality show. That automatically puts her on the "to be ignored" list. While there are a few very rare exceptions to the rule, most reality shows, including hers should be dumped from TV programming. A huge waste of TV air time.
