Teresa Giudice Allegedly Hid Major Assets in Filing for Bankruptcy

A New Jersey lawyer for the Dept. of Justice handling the case of Teresa and Joe Giudice in federal bankruptcy court has filed a complaint on Thursday objecting to the couple's request for Chapter 7 protection, claiming they intentionally failed to reveal major assets in their original petition. The court documents that appear to have been filed by Roberta A. DeAngelis have surfaced on a 'Housewife' blog. Sources of income alleged to be missing from the bankruptcy filing? The court documents list a $250,000 book advance from Hyperion received by Teresa for her cookbook 'Skinny Italian,' her ownership of an online boutique called TGFabulicious and more.

The objection reads: "To date, the Defendants have not filed amended schedules that disclose the existence of the book 'Skinny Italian,' the publishing deal with Hyperion, Defendant wife's ownership of TG Fabulicious, LLC, or Defendant husband's ownership of 1601 Maple Avenue Associates, LLC."

The claim further alleges that the couple were untruthful in previous sworn testimony ("the Defendants have knowingly and fraudulently made false oaths in this case") as the contract with Hyperion was reportedly dated Oct. 22, 2009 -- just prior to the Guidices' petition for bankruptcy protection -- and signed within weeks of filing for Chapter 7. While Teresa has reportedly acknowledged in an April 2010 examination under oath that she received the book advance, her legal team has apparently done little to officially update court records about the newly disclosed assets.

Meanwhile, many of the couple's priciest belongings -- from vehicles to furniture -- were set to be auctioned off this month, but RadarOnline.com reports that lawyers for the couple are now trying to avoid the spectacle of a public auction by arranging for a more private sale.

Will this latest"NEWS"??? be enough for Bravo to put an end to this terrible show? Teresa needs a white jacket with the sleeves that tie in the back! Are those children safe with her? The whole bunch are just a step away from the "mob" and are probably concerned about the dirt that may be dug up about them. I'dsay "be afraid, very afraid".

Has anyone in NJ contacted the Child Protection Office there. Mom snorting like a demon pig and cussing like that how scary for those girls. Yes Theresa could still go to prison. The children would wind up with a family that really cares for them.

why all the haters? It's not any of our business what any of these people do. It doesn't make you any better saying such horrfic nasty things about others either. I happen to like all of them with the exception of danielle. She has proved over and over again that she-he is nasty and very mean and dangerous to anyone near she-he. Now that's someone to stay clear of. While some of the other housewives have a few problems which by the way they are taking care, danielle has openly threathen everyone of the other housewives with physical harm. danielle is the one that should be put in a mental hospital. who in their right mind would go on tv and say that they could care less what thier birth mother feels and that all they want is to make herself feel better that she found her. Seriously!? danielle is sick in the head and I'm among millons that are happy she's been fired from the show. It's about time Bravo woke up before they had a major lawsuit against them for allowing this sicko, danielle to really hurt someone.

Exactly how did Danielle threaten them? What did she say or do to threaten them? You need to watch Year 1 to see how it got started. It was 'Godmother' Caroline and Dana who started it. Teresa and Jackie are just followers because they can't think for their selves. I call those 3 Caroline's 'soldiers'...it's a mafia term. Godmother does not allow new people into the clan!

are you kidding? dina? caroline? danielle has never touched anyone on that show - no one. she has been attacked at every turn by each of the two faced evil "ladies" .. they have no limits to the names they call her or the level they yell at her - they are the trash, danielle looks nervious because she never knows who will get her next. I am glad she is off the show so she can find some nice people to be friends with. Danielle stay away from those manzo people and their extras....

While I dislike how Theresa went nuts on the show, I still do not like Danielle. I feel bad for both of these peoples children. Theresa's are young enough to not realize what is going on but Danielle's are. I could not believe she had a part for herself when her daughter got a layout in a magazine. Even her own daughter said she was having herself a party. Seems like if she wanted to celebrate it should have been with her daughters. Also when Danielle starts talking nutty about the other people even her daughters have said people just talk. Danielle is a skank and a trouble maker. She takes everything and makes it about herself. Theresa and her husband will end up having to amend their bankruptcy and the money from her book sales will go to pay the creditors. If you watched the show when Joe was showing the 2 apts and said he would knock the wall out he was trying to tell Theresa that times were rough. He also told Jacqueline's husband that the money used to flow in and now it just trickles in. Supposedly Theresa did not know. You can tell how stressed her husband was getting over the money. I struggle with finances at a much smaller level being a divorced single parent with no child support. I can't imagine owing the kind of money that they owe. If they were smart they would pack up and move to Italy.

No, Caroline and Teresa (a.k.a. Jersey Devil) aren't sisters but they're related in that they are thick as thieves.

The Giudice's are nothing but liars and crooks. It sickens me that businesses/shows would have her make appearances there after this has been exposed. To me, thats condoning her behavior. To Teresa it's 'they love, love, love me no matter how much I lie and steal'. The Federal government is nothing to mess around with. And what about their 'stolen' jewelry? Was there insurance fraud involved there? I hope they both get the jail time they justly deserve.

Teresa, Jacquiline, and Caroline are hypocrites. While Danielle is obviously not innocent of bad behavior and bad decisions, at least she owns up to them. The Manzo's and the Giudice's act so poorly and they believe they are justified. Essentially, they look like awful people, like three high school bullies ganging up on Danielle. If they really wanted to show that they are so much better than she is, they would embrace her and try to be friendly. They crucified her for making mistakes in her past. Teresa is a mess, a horrible mother, and a liar.
