Bristol Palin Denies She's a 'DWTS' Diva

Bristol Palin opened up Friday night during an appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,' according to UsMagazine.com, in order to address her rumored diva-like demeanor in rehearsals (with ballroom pro Mark Ballas) for her new gig on ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars.' And the young single mom also took the opportunity to aim a few wisecracks at her ex, Levi Johnston.

So, has she been a demanding diva in the dance studio, even just a little bit? "Literally, I was thinking about it today: the only thing I've ever asked for is a velcro mic pack, so I don't have to wear it on my belt loop," said the 19-year-old 'DWTS' newbie. "That's the only thing I've ever asked for."

Turning to the topic of her ex, she was candid. "He's changed. Night and day, definitely," she insisted. "The guy I fell in love with was a hard-working Alaskan man that didn't want to wear straight-legged jeans and get chased by Radar."

Back home, she's an office assistant in Anchorage, Alaska, and mom to 2-year-old Tripp, and while she's famously supportive of her mom Sarah Palin's political endeavors, she isn't about to share the love with Levi Johnston. In fact, she sounded downright skeptical about the wannabe reality TV star's fledgling campaign to be mayor of Wasilla.

"He'd have to move to Wasilla first," she said, adding, "He needs to get his G.E.D." Zing!

Bristol's clearly dancing solo as far as her 20-year-old ex is concerned. Summing up the fizzled relationship, she said, "I'm not heartbroken. I tried to make it work for my son."

She is reviled because she has a child outside of marriage....So does about 1/3 of all teenage-twenty somethings. Are all of them easy or just human?.. Oh wait if you are the daughter of a woman many hate because of her POLITICAL VIEWS..that makes a difference...Not to pour water on Nicole Ritchie, but she is unwed and a mother. I admire her for turning her life around. Does it really matter what her parents politics are? Or even hers? Gimme A Break

What a joke...Does anyone know the definition of Diva? A female singer in the opera. I don't think Bristol sings....Now I doubt she is a role model kids. A pregnant teen? You all act like she is the first young girl that has gotten pregnant....She should have waited to have a child out of wedlock till she was Jolie age!

At least she gave her child a chance. She could have aborted like most would do. But she didn't. I think she is a fine role model. Good luck Bristol. Hope you win.
