With Kids at Home Now, Birthday Girl LeAnn Rimes Craves 'Peace and Quiet'

What country star LeAnn Rimes reportedly wanted for her 28th birthday (Aug. 28) was a restful spell of "peace and quiet," according to People.com. And who wouldn't make that wish after such a tumultuous year? This summer alone, the singer finalized her divorce from Dean Sheremet, and soon welcomed live-in boyfriend Eddie Cibrian's two sons, age 3 and 7, into her Calabasas, Calif., home.

(Following a contentious split, after Cibrian fell for Rimes while still married, the actor now shares custody of the two boys with his ex, model Brandi Glanville.)

Rimes and her paramour recently kicked back poolside during a (reportedly child-free) Mexican getaway to Cabo San Lucas with friends in honor of her big day. And this wekeend, she revealed that Cibrian, 37, presented her with a special birthday gift: jewelry.

Gold bangles, to be exact. "It was very sweet," she said.

Visiting Las Vegas on Saturday, the couple was attending a birthday celebration for Rimes at hotspot Tabu. But the recording artist didn't sound entirely homesick for domestic life. "It's quite chaotic....I went from being by myself to having two kids in the house." She added, "It's really amazing. They're really incredible."

Meanwhile, the onetime teen sensation (whose powerful voice propelled her to fame at age 14) seemed very excited to add another candle to her birthday cake. "I'm actually one of those strange people that actually enjoys getting older," she told People.com. "My age was made such a big deal out of when I was little, so I always wanted to get older."

Puuhhhhlllleeezzzzz, looking forward to peace and quiet... Should have thought about THAT when you hooked up with a man who has two little boys. QUIET is NOT something you get often.

Eddie may just find out how SELFISH his girlfriend really is. ANYONE who would openly date a married man, while still being married herself.... well, she doesn't deserve peace.

Although I disagree with name calling. I think THIS shows how well thought out Leann's actions were! LOL Eddie may have cause to "re-evaluate" his choices! LOL ANYONE who expects PEACE AND QUIET with a 3 & 7 year old boy running around has NOT thought out what the repercussions of his/her choices would be.

Maybe hooking up with a MARRIED MAN, while you are STILL MARRIED has the ability to backfire. My hope is that the boys never suffer from Leeann's, obvious, immature emotional state.

I have been a mother for 30 years. 3 of my own, 8 not my own. Every mother knows... even our birthdays are about the children! THAT'S when we HELP them bake US a cake that ends up being hilarious to look at, but wonderful to eat!!!

GROW UP, Leeann. Really.... it's NOT all about you!

Umm schemoo, what screw job are you talking about??? I don't see anywhere in the article where a "screw job" is stated. In fact, it seems like they are very happy and in love. Your cute, little phrase is so out of place ... why not save it for when it's really necessary instead of trying so hard?

I used to like Leann Rimes, til she became the "Homewrecker" that she is !!!! breaking up another mans marriage all for her own benefit and dumping her own husband for this jerk, i don't doubt for a second, that her recent husband suffered seriously after finding out she cheated on him and then left him for that jerk..she lord forgive me for saying this but both Leann and Eddie should be HUNG for all of it. The Lord does not applaud people who cheat and then dump their spouse for someone else. It should be a punishable offense and the cheater should pay the spouse they cheated on for the damages and for the pain and suffering they put them thru AND for their soon to be ex's ENTIRE half part of the divorce. Just for making them suffer.all i can say is just for her chasing this guy and doing the nasty with him and breaking up his marriage as well as her own, she can "rot in hell!"

It has been very public and I have read many articles that Leeann's ex Dean Sheremet is and has been Gay since High School, even that he was cheating on her with another Guy throughout their whole marriage. I read Family members have confirmed this. So if this is true, Dean was the double crosser of all. It is fine to be gay but to lead a phony life and lead on a woman you really don't love in that way is just sick!! So before all of you start judging Leeann and slinging words maybe you should think their are 2 sides to every story. Things are not always what they seem and you people have not walked in her shoes! Now for Eddie shame on him for cheating on his wife.
