Danielle Staub Is Leaving 'Real Housewives'

Danielle Staub, the firecracker on Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' will not be returning to the show, the network announced Monday. Throughout the tumultuous second season, Staub enraged Caroline Manzo, her sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita and family friend Teresa Giudice, though Staub seemed to make amends at the end of Monday's reunion episode.

"The reunion was Danielle's last appearance on 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,'" said Andy Cohen, Bravo's senior vice president of original programming and development, who also hosts the 'Housewives' reunion shows. "We thought the hugs were a great way to end two seasons of bitterness between the women."

Despite rumors that Staub quit to focus on her own show, sources tell PopEater she was actually fired.

"Cast members Caroline and Jacqueline made it clear that if Danielle stayed they would leave," a 'Housewives' insider tells PopEater. "Bravo had already lost cast member Dina because of Danielle and couldn't risk losing another two cast members from the top 'Housewife' show in the whole franchise."

Last month, Staub told PopEater's Amber James, "I am considering many incredible options that have been presented to me ... Don't worry next year, I'll still be the one you either love to hate or hate to love."

An insider adds that Staub is working on a spin-off reality series (like Bethenny Frankel's), which will focus on her life and her daughter's career. "I don't know if there are talks right now about a third season of the show, but I'm more excited about talks of my spin-off than anything else," she told Life & Style Magazine at her birthday party in New York on August 10.

In the meantime, Bravo is searching for new cast members, both in existing and potential locales, according to Cohen. That means interviewing and filming test footage of possible 'Housewives' with their friends and families. Cohen said the network has attempted to wrangle a Texas edition for the past two years, but "never hit it" with the right group of women.

I agree about Ashley, she is an obnoxious child/adult...out of control. She still didn't fully understand the seriousness of her arrest. However, surely you saw, as I did, (they replayed it over and over)that the whole pulling the hair event was grossly exaggerated by Danielle. She was never in danger. Her goons were the biggest problem there. Danielle was intent on causing problems with the Manzo's, or Teresa, etc. Ashley just gave her the ammunition she needed.

DANIELLE NEEDS TO GO AWAY. HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED HER (2) PRECIOUS CHILDREN AND THE WAY THEY LOOK AT HER. WHEW....I FEEL REALLY BAD FOR THEM LIVING WITH THAT "WOMAN". She is so ignorant she does not even know what the plural of "WOMAN" is. Christine is gorgeous. Julian is a deep thinker with a great future ahead of her, just like Christine. I will be glad when they can leave their "self absorbing" mother.

I have just realized that Danielle Staub looks like a female version of the cartoon character, JAFAR on Disney's Alladin series! Even the mouth is just as thin and evil as hers! She claims to be a "GOOD Catholic" yet she sells porn, has phone sex, sleeps around, cheats, lies, steals, is an abusive mother, is a self=proclaimed lesbian (totally practicing which is ananthema to that belief) and does evil, cruel and trashy things. RSVP, Danielle! You can't be serious!

How can she claim to be a 'good Catholic" with the sex tapes, the stripping, the phone sex, the married men sex romps, the lesbian leanings, all of which are NOT acceptable to that religious view? And, if the Manzo's or Guidice's WERE members of the Mafia as she claims, she would NOT be walking or talking. La Costra Nostra or "family" would put her down one way or another immediately. What a liar and trash. Poor children. Where oh Where is the father?

It's really disgusting how bravo has all the other wives on there and they just gang up on people it's sick and twisted and jacqualine or w.e. is a follower. Teresa is just really a trouble maker. Ashley was so wrong for what she did to danielle. Regardless nobody should have the right to act the way that family did. They are bullies are me personally will not watch the show.
