Police: Paris Hilton Got Special Treatment in Jail

Las Vegas police are defending
Paris Hilton's quick release from jail after her Aug. 27 arrest on suspicion of
cocaine possession, saying they wanted to avoid disruptions in the jail's operations. Hilton was out of the jail in about three hours, roughly half the average time it takes to process people facing the same charge through the Clark County Detention Center, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
"Yeah, she was treated differently so I don't have a disruption of my process here at the county jail," said Metropolitan Police Deputy Chief Jim Dixon, who runs the jail. "When you bring somebody in like that, everybody comes over and tries to look at them. I'd have officers attempting to keep inmates away from her. I'd have disruptions."
Hilton, 29, was charged with one felony count of cocaine possession after authorities say she opened a purse in front of a police lieutenant and a small baggie of cocaine fell out. Hilton claims neither the purse nor the cocaine was hers.
Dixon noted a crowd of about 100 people gathered outside the Wynn Las Vegas resort to snap photos and shoot video of Hilton while her boyfriend, Cy Waits, was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Tony Collins of 911 Bail Bonds said he understood why Hilton was treated differently. "If she had gotten out in 30 minutes, that would have been special treatment," he said.
She's scheduled to appear before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure on Oct. 27.

This is how corrupt the system is..The police Chief wanted his 5 min of fame too as the saying goes: If your rich enough, you can break the law or pay off the judges and cops and get away with just about anything.. And still be home in time for Tea ..

Seems to me that if you are a celebrity you get special treatment with the law. Just to name a few...Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson....what is it about these people.. I guess when you have money you can buy your way out of trouble. Sure cannot buy love.!
Seems that justice tills for some and not for others. So if you are nobody and you want to steal in this country...do it big...really. Then you will get light treatment. Because when the working people see things like this it burns them...I know it burns me.

Both her face and body are starting to slide south, she better hurry and do another porn flick with a boyfriend and then whoopsie let it slip out to be sold to the public but blame it on the boyfriend

The usual white celebrity justice! Over easy, Paris!

If I were the arresting officer, I would lock her in my bedroom and she sure wouldn't get out in 3 hours.

Please--she'd get special treatment if she were jailed for high treason.

It was said: "I'd have officers attempting to keep inmates away from her. I'd have disruptions."
But, he forgot, at that time-she was an inmate-just like the others!

Good grief, whats next...special treatment and an early release from prison ? No wonder Paris has such a smirk on her face in her mugshot.

If Deputy Chief Jim Dixon cannot keep people away from a skinny little psuedo starlet then he is not running a jail, he is running a halfway house for criminal. Why does she deserve special treatment? Maybe he has the hots for her!

i'm so tired of the beautifull people, everybody wants to lick their sphincters to make them happy, time after time, it would be a shame if they should do time.......

I would have made her have sex with every inmate, film it and make a fortune

Didn't she say she learned from her last stay in prison? What has she done since her release? If people keep "enabling" her, she will never learn. These so called "celebrities" have been getting special treatment their entire lives. It is time to stop gushing all the fake idolation on these people. She has done nothing except live off her family fortune.

Eye think Paris should be shipped to a jail where the cocaine came from,Mexico or South America
