Just in case you've grown tired of the Duggar and Gosselin clans, TLC is serving up some brand-new family drama with 'Sister Wives,' premiering September 26 at 10PM EST. 'Sister Wives' follows Kody Brown, a man with three (soon to be four!) wives and 13 children from his marriages. Hearing Brown explain how he ended up in "plural marriages" is like a real-life version of 'Big Love': "I just fell in love. And then I fell in love again. And then I fell in love again."
"I think we're normal," says one of Brown's wives, "and then I'm like, 'Oh yeah, I can't go out and tell everybody about my normal family.'"

You can also learn something by getting away from th tv. Maybe get an education instead of fascinating yourself with other's lives because your life is so dull. No wonder Americans are so fat, hope your arteries clog soon.
Gross, hope he spreads a drug resistant strain of HIV to them. These fat b1tches should be fixed so they can't exploit their kids and disgusting sex life on tv for some money. Some people actually watch shows like this? TV is hurting your brains. Go read a book or something, dumb obese stay at home moms.

Actually Mormons, a.k.a Latter Day Saints, are not polygamists. Fundamentalist Latter day Saints are, a break-off of the church who branched off many many years ago. Mormons don't believe in Polygamy.
My reference? I am one.

Actually, yes, they were. One of the founding fathers--Brigham Young was a poligamist. Read your church history.
TLC has turned into the Jerry Springer Show, only without the fighting.

Brigham Young, the founder of Brigham Young University, had over 27 wives due to the urging of Joseph Smith the founder of your religion, so pls check the facts. If someone was so corrupt in the founding of your religion, tell me how they got "straightened out" now. C'mon, wake up and smell the coffee. This is a sect that encourages women to marry, and men to marry women pretty soon after widowed. I don't know how modern women adapt themselves to this way of life, at all. It seems you have no purpose in life except to marry and have babies according to this religion.

Lipanconjuring: (Interesting name, BTW.) Ha-ha, that trailer park thing and no library card - you are a card! And NASCAR, OMG, I am ROFLMFAO. Heh-heh-heh. Look, Dimwit, have YOU researched polygamy? Well, I have, and it IS fascinating. I have read the book(s) by Irene Spencer and many, many others. Maybe YOU should read some books on polygamy, so you can understand that it is another heretofore realm of American life. Anything that EDUCATES people (and that includes reality shows - not shows like Jersey Shore and Housewives of New Jersey, although I suppose there is something to be learned there and I will bet you watch those), is a learning experience. Anthropological studies have always fascinated me (have you heard of Oscar Lewis and Margaret Mead?). Can you even SPELL anthropology? A reality show about polygamy will TELL more than it hides, so, yes, Lip, I expect Sister Wives will give us all some anthropological insight into a society that usually is kept very secret. I have read more books in the past two years than you have probably read in your lifetime. Idiot.

Yes they WERE. You didn't correctly read my post. They WERE Polygamists over 100 years ago, this is no longer a practice in mormon religion. However, it is an FLDS practice today. I think I would notice if all my neighbors secretly harbored extra wifes in their basement, thank you. I know a little more about this than you. The Polygamist family that "Sister Wives" is going to be following, I can promise with absolute certainty, is not LDS. Learn to check your facts instead of making ignorant remarks.
The only thing I'm trying to set straight is that in the current day and age, mormons are not Polygamists anymore, FLDS are. I'm sure you can all find plenty of things to attack mormons about without making stuff up.

Are these people receiving welfare? How do you promote all of this illegitimacy? They are not married. What does this say to young folks?

They are not recognized by the MORMON CHURCH. The church does notaccept OR promote POLYGOMY! It is against the law and against the belief of the Mormon Church. They are not the future leaders of "individualism!" We already have that right and really do not care how they live their life. It's just that..........."their life." Who cares anyway? Sounds like the male dominant authority has to justify his "strong points" (we all know what that means) to the world and the females in the group have to defend the fact that they are not really suffering from "co-dependency." Obviously, making money the good old fashioned way is not the norm anymore. Just call up TLC and tell them you HAVE LOST YOUR MIND because they always seem to gravitate to promoting the absurd!

Surely Mr Wonderful and his flashy sportscar, fake grin and trying too hard to be cool demeanor (so practical for a man with 13 kid's don't you think) is too wonderful for a mere 4 women? I can't wait for the one night stands to crawl out of the woodwork.
