Wyclef Jean Slams Sean Penn as Cocaine-User Wyclef Jean responded to Sean Penn's public doubts of his Haitian presidential campaign at a concert over the weekend, alleging Penn was "too busy sniffing cocaine" to notice Jean's presence in Haiti after an earthquake devastated the nation in January.

The colossal jab came at a Hot 97 concert this weekend, where Wyclef changed the lyrics to his 2004 hit 'President,' singing: "I got a message for Sean Penn: Maybe he ain't see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine."

The night Wyclef announced his candidacy for Haiti's president, Sean Penn expressed serious concern. "I have to say I'm very suspicious of it, simply because he, as an ambassador at large, has been virtually silent. For those of us in Haiti, he has been a non-presence," Penn said on the same 'Larry King Live' broadcast that featured Wyclef's announcement.

Pras, one-third of The Fugees along with Wyclef and Lauryn Hill, came out swinging shortly after. "I love Wyclef to death. I was one of his best men along with his brother at his wedding," he told Vulture. "But I want to make this clear: I would rather lose Wyclef as a friend, brother, and save a nation of 10 million Haitians."

So Wyclef tacked a jab at Pras directly onto his new Sean Penn lyric this weekend: "I got a message for Praswell: Even though you don't want to support me, I got love for you, even though you only kicked 8 bars in the Fugees."

Sean Penn's rep quickly wrote a vehement denial of cocaine use, telling JustJared:

"Mr. Jean is clearly unfamiliar with the physical demands put upon volunteers in Haiti. As aid workers there, the notion of depleting the body's immune system thru the use of illicit drugs is ludicrous. More specifically, J/P Haitian Relief Organization (a.k.a. JPHRO) has a ZERO tolerance policy for any and all illegal drugs. As the leader of this organization, Sean Penn has not only set this policy, but adheres to it. That Mr. Jean would make such a false accusation is reckless and saddening, but not surprising."

Jean was disqualified from the presidential running when he did not meet Haitian residency requirements.

LOL the voice of opression. Wyclef do not be a sore loser! No presidential candidate of tragedy you tried to use your privilege and status! e would ever go out like that.This is why our meaning BLACK foreign nationals our corrupt. Even in the wake of tragedy you are still on the backs of your people ! Shame on you! This is the same behavior we see in African countries also. Don't be mad that Sean Penn is a white man and because of his privilege (sorry I had to say it)the oppression has not hit his mind yet!

Wyclef Jean, when was the last time you were in Haiti? Not the places that were not hit by the quake. You know Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas that got hit by the quake? Nowhere. You're in the states busy skimming off the relief aid.

Wyclef is such an ***hole. When Larry King asked Sean Penn what he thought of him, he just responded honestly. He didn't rip him apart, he just told the truth. Wyclef needs to get over himself!

Ya gotta love Wyclef Jean for telling it like it is. I believe him. Sean Penn is a legend in his OWN mind, and I do not doubt that Penn s mind is a cesspool of drugs. These dimwit actors that go to foreign places to lend a hand in a catastrophe - it sure do make good press, don t it? Why doesn t Ole Sean offer up a hair and follicle to prove his drugless-state? As my dear old dad would say, Sean Penn is nothing but a punk. He is just getting to be an old wrinkled punk - a junkie punk, if you will. You can be sure he is just getting in the way of any real work being done in Haiti. I bet you can get some good dope down there, though.

Wyclef is going to end up getting sued for slander and defamation of character if he's not careful. Unless he was in the room with Sean when he was snorting coke, he's asking for trouble. Besides, Wyclef is a tool and a sell out.

If Haitians actually picked this guy for their president, I'd never send a dime to that nation. At some point, people do need to start making wise decisions for themselves, I don't know what's going on in Haiti, but they need strong leadership, Wyclef is certainly not it. I'm proud of them for kicking him to the curb before he even got to campaign, it shows there is some hope for that nation. As much as I never liked Sean Penn, I am really proud of him for what he's been doing there, and my opinion of him is slowly changing.

Wyclef looks the fool by saying what he said. Penn may very well be a cokehead but he isn't trying to run for President of Haiti!

Wyclef is shady don't trust him. What did he do with all the donations he got for Haiti relief ? What exactly has he done for this country ? Answer: Nothing. Penn is in the trenches minding his own business.
