Sometimes life imitates 'Gossip Girl,' and other times 'Gossip Girl' imitates life. What does this mean for humanity? We're not exactly sure, but we know it can't be good. As we prepare for the fourth season of the debauched drama, we can't help but take a look back at some of the instances where reality and 'GG' crossed paths.

Taylor Momsen's entire existence seems to be imitating the consistently angsty arc of her character, Jenny Humphrey. The more disenfranchised Jenny becomes on the show, the more we see Taylor forgetting to wear pants in real life and talking about her vibrator. All we have to say about both the character and the actress is we wish they'd give that black eyeliner a rest.

No, it wasn't a CW/CNN crossover -- although, we'd really like to see Anderson Cooper steal Blair away from Chuck Bass once and for all, they'd make such beautiful ... matching summer suit ensembles. In life imitating drama, Chace had been arrested and charged with marijuana possession after he forgot to close out his tab at a place called Ringo's Pub in Plano, Texas. Character acting gone too far?
