Willow Smith's Debut Single, 'Whip My Hair'

Are you ready for Willow Smith? The 9-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith released her first single, 'Whip My Hair,' with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label, readying her place as the heir to her father's musical throne.

Willow has become a red-carpet staple in recent months, turning heads with her out-there fashion choices. She delivers that same swagger in her song, rapping that she's not doing anything wrong, just trying to have fun and will "keep fighting until I get there."

So, is it too early for Willow to start a music career? She's certainly a little younger than her dad was when he burst onto the scene as the Fresh Prince, but plenty of kiddie acts have made it to the big time -- just look at the entire cast of 'The Mickey Mouse Club.' Check out some of our favorite kids who've gone on to bigger and better things after the jump.

Everyone focuses on Britney, Justin and Christina when they talk about the '90s reincarnation of Disney's 'Mickey Mouse Club,' but what about the stars that flew under the radar? First up, a young Ryan Gosling crooning alongside soon-to-be *NSYNC members Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez.

You may know her best as 'Felicity,' but Keri Russell busted a few moves at the House of Mouse back in the day too. Check out her serious rap solo that starts around 1:00.

You haven't lived until you've sat through a song by the Olsen Twins. That's if you make it out alive.

Few remember that around the time she was on 'The Cosby Show,' Raven Symone released an awesomely '90s rap album and video, entitled 'That's What Little Girls Are Made Of.' It's very ... baby Queen Latifah.

Before joining the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie was just a girl. Singing to a clown. It's creepier than it sounds.

Is there anything Mario Lopez can't do? Watch the dimpled youngster rap while simultaneously playing drums in this clip from 'Kids Incorporated' below.

Last, but certainly not least: Jennifer Love Hewitt. Before she was on 'Party of Five' or dealing with the supernatural on 'Ghost Whisperer,' Hewitt performed as a prima ballerina on 'Kids Incorporated' and later lent her singing and dancing skills to a Barbie workout video that's completely out of this world. Or at least this century. Watch Hewitt (billed as 'Love') strut her stuff around 3:35.

Yes I do have children and grandchildren They are all great too. They were allowed to make the decisions that were appropriate for their ages and parents made the big decisions. If my daughter had wanted to shave her hair off the answer would have been a big "NO!" I would not have let her listen to music like this. At age nine she was in Girls Scouts and still playing with dolls. Now she has two wonderful little boys, is an excellent mother and is working on her Masters degree. My son is a wonderfufl father and very strict with his girls. Too much too soon is not a good idea. I taught elementary school for 20 years and I have seen what happens when kids are making the decisions in the family.

Just like all the white kids out their who parents get them on TV, baby mama, Bristol Palin, Paris Hilton, Michael Douglas, Jeff and Beau Bridges and thousands more. Some of them really are talented such as Douglas, Bridges, Fonda, Paltrow, but I guess we should not allow them on TV or in the movies. A lot of you got your jobs based on who you know and not what you know, so shut up.

I think its great that she is trying out her craft. If this is the type of music she chooses to do so be it. I'm just glad to see that she is doing something positive with her life, we very well could have been reading that Will Smith's daughter was rushed to the hospital for a drug overdose or that she is a severe alcoholic and her age doesn't make a difference because Drew Barrymore was an alcoholic by her age, but she is doing something good and as adults we should applaud her attempt to make an honest living. Yes she has an edge at success because of who her parents are, so what? She still could have chosen the low road. Lets be supportive of our young children and stop criticizing every little thing they do. And we wonder why today's youth is so lost.

Why do stupid adults wish to make negative predictions for a child who has done nothing to them. She has as much right to use her talent as any other young talented person. Get a life you evil minded poor excuses for human beings.

Meaghan you sound REALLY dumb right now. She didn't write the song, hardly anyone writes their own songs. So she didn't put "slang" in it, it was WRITTEN for her. As for slang in songs, white and black people have it. The kid Justin Bieber has it in MANY songs he sings, are his parents "ghetto" or have that "thug" in them also? haha It's people like you that try to make a point and just sound stupid. Think before you speak on things, especially speaking to or about the wrong people, you know those "thugs" might get ya hahah because you know will and jada smith are ghetto.

She sounds pretty good for her age! A lot of you up here are being kind of rude, i mean she IS a kid. I don't think she sounds any better or worse than Fergie, or Jennifer Love in their videos, they sound pretty regular too. When you are a kid you haven't quite reached your full potential yet, she'll get it. However I don't like the Rihanna/Lil Mama type song. If she sung acoustics over a guitar or played piano along with her lyrics i would have been blown away . SN: What in the world does race, or money have to do with talent?? Trust there is NO correlation between the two . So stop talking about the fact that she is rich, or black, yeah it has nothing to do with anything . Hilary duff wasn't rich before she started and umm yeah she's not that talented. Same with Lindsay Lohan, so eww shut up already .

First of all, she dresses much too grown for the age of 9. Secondly, what kind of song is that. It is the most annoying song I have ever heard. I think that her parents should have listened to the song before having it recorded. It is repetitious and it really says nothing. She is a child, but the adults should know better.

It's not my favorite song, but considering it's not too risque...I could understand why other 9 year olds would like it.

Her mother is a singer with a band, so maybe Willow wants to follow in Mom's footsteps. IDK, but her parents can afford to indulge her. She may stay with it or it may be a one-hit-wonder. Too soon to tell.

I like the whole Smith family and think they're great at what they do, but personally, I don't like this song. Her parents are Hollywood stars and obviously have money. Therefore, she is not "ghetto" and shouldn't be singing about "whipping her hair". She's NINE years old; most likely the song was written FOR her, not BY her. I think she'd be even better if she tried other genres.
