With All Her Plastic Surgery, Jane Fonda Says She'll Soon Be 'Bionic'

Jane Fonda jokes about her face-changing plastic surgery in a new 'Entertainment Tonight' interview, saying that she's destined to be "bionic" after all of the procedures she's undergone.

Fonda may not be the $6 million dollar woman quite yet, but the 72-year-old tells 'ET' there was a reason she decided to splurge on eye and chin jobs this year after famously swearing off cosmetic procedures a decade ago.

"It was a hard decision to make, and I decided if I'm going to do it, I'm going to tell the truth," Fonda explains. "I'm writing a book about aging, so I can't write a book and not say I've had plastic surgery."

Fonda reveals that she had the procedures after a lot of reflection. "I just decided it was for me. I don't want to have bags under my eyes that make me look tired and so on and so forth."

The former fitness queen, who had the best-selling workout videos of all time, has also had her hip and knee replaced in recent years, prompting her to quip: "I'm going to soon be bionic. If I don't stay active my body stops functioning."

Staying kinetic doesn't seem to be a problem for the septuagenarian: Her new 'Prime Time Walk Out' and 'Prime Time Fit & Strong' workout DVD series arrives in stores Nov. 30.

Maybe her surgery is too fresh? Often times plastic surgery needs a little time to relax. I know how she feels -- it's disappointing to look in the mirror and not recognize yourself from the aging, but it's fear of results like this that keep me from going under the knife. AND she needs to lighten her hair some. That dark red is harsh on older women. It's funny, I thought she looked great before she did this.

Poor Jane. She was never a beauty but now she has taken on the 'JOKER' look from a bad result. When will people realize that ageing isn't horrible, wrinkles normal...and more softening
than any procedure that whacks off chunks of skin and stretches it past any kind of normal look.

I've always found her fitness tips motivational and inspirational, but I think she might benefit from a long hair-style, like she used to wear.

Many women her age (eg. Raquel Welch) wear their hair long to good advantage.

she looks like a painted corps...what the hell is wrong with a few wringles? She looks much older now than if she had let nature alone. If she thinks she looks good, she's CRAZY!! All these old goats, none of them proud enough in who they are. Sad!!

I cannot stand this woman. Every time I hear her name I see her sitting on that N. Vietnamese tank. I lost friends over there. She was part of it. We will NEVER forget this traitor. No matter what she does to her outside, it will not change what is inside...and it's ugly from where I stand.
