From hermaphrodite rumors to gracing the cover of Japanese Vogue wearing only a bikini made entirely of meat (photos here), Lady Gaga is often at the center of a lot of weird news items. In one of the stranger stories involving the pop star, a woman is now claiming that Gaga is possessed by the soul of her late daughter, who was also a musician.
Yana Morgana is seeking the rights to release dozens of songs her daughter, Lina, recorded with Gaga before committing suicide at the age of 19 in 2008. Mourning has been especially difficult for Morgana, as Gaga is a constant reminder of her daughter, who is said to have inspired the artist's penchant for wigs, thigh-high boots and a dark, tortured persona.
"Every other word she says is from Lina," Morgana tells the New York Post. "She talks about having a dark and tragic life, but she had everything she wanted in the world." Gaga and Lina worked together with producer Rob Fusari, who is largely responsible for Gaga's early career.
The most bewildering aspect of the alleged persona stealing is that Gaga landed on the mainstream music scene just one month after Lina's death. "It was the same style, the same look, the same music, the same voice, the same jaw line -- the way they expressed themselves," Lina's ex-boyfriend, Tyler Schwab, tells the Post about seeing the 'Just Dance' video for the first time. "And I was like, 'Is that Lina?' It was so, so shocking. It was like looking at a ghost."
And this isn't just a case of gold-digging, either. Morgana has asserted she has no plans to take this to court, but merely wants the music released and, in turn, for Gaga to let go of Lina's soul.

Lady Gaga sounds nothing like her, and with the right make-up anyone can look like pretty much anyone. I think that the woman is just depressed and seeing and hearing things because of her grief.
i am sorry for this woman's loss of her daughter but they were friends had the same dream and style the woman should be happy because if her daughter did live this is what she would prob be like also but dont say Gaga stole her sole and stupid stuff like that it just makes her look like she is trying to cash in on her daughters death. if Gaga puts herself out there in some of the outfits she does than leave her be, i personaly would not want to look like anything like that but the girls obviously together did this style Gaga just was able to go further with and that is not her fault, question should be why did the other one take her own life.
ok so they do resemble eachother a bit and lady gaga did use one of those plastic pool things in her video(remember the one where shes humping a blow up animal?) anyway remember people, lina and gaga were friends! so ofcourse they shared the same ideas and taste of music, but to think that she "stoled her soul" is ridiculous! ok bottom line is>>>>>>>>>yes they were friends and yes they had the same taste, it doesnt mean gaga stoled anything from her, she chose to live and follow her dream, unfortunately lina chose a different route which is unfortunate!!! mom needs to make peace!
I know some of the pain this lady is feeling. My sister took her life a few years ago. Very few people make it in the music business. She was one of the tragic casualties. What a shame, she was such a pretty young lady.

Why is it so hard to believe...everything GaGa does is a rip-off and has already been done. She is Gwen Stefani...Madonna...Cher...Aguilara and Britney Spears all rolled into one. She just can't sing as good as them. Anybody who is a fan is so ten minutes ago.
I also find it really sad that this woman lost her child-too talented, way too young. But, I agree with Cali and themeeker. Gaga may be stealing her persona, and expounding on her-they were friends after all, but Gaga doesn't show her own soul-she certainly hasn't stolen Lina's. She's has a smart way of stage acting-much like several others before her...
I like to dye my hair and change into bazaar styles that look like Lady GaGa. Does that mean Lady Gaga can sue me because I mimick her? Be for real. If you can prove Lady Gaga stole songs then yeah you have a case, if not anyone can try to look like any of the celebrities out there, ever hear of impersonators.
GaGa is an imitation of people such as Bowie & Grace Jones anyways so what does it matter? She's about as original as Britney & Christina. Grant it I love Christina, but everyone is a pale imitation to the originals. Not even Madonna is an original since she stole from Bowie & Jones too, and a lot from Cher........They only live as long as people buy their stuff, so hopefully GaGa will fizzle out soon because if I hear one more kid singing Pokerface/Love Game, I think I will have lost all hope in the evolution of the mind.....

Wow, you may be on to something. I was looking at video clips of Gaga and I swear she doesn't look like the same person sometimes. Very interesting :)
