Hey, Is That Madonna on the Subway?

Some sightings are more shocking than others. Bigfoot, for instance. The Loch Ness Monster. The Abominable Snowman. But incredibly reliable-seeming folks the world over purport to have footage of these anomalies, so we can safely assume that these things actually exist and that those who doubt them are nothing more than haters. But Madonna on the A train? Unthinkable!

Well, she of the $10,000 diamond-encrusted fur eyelashes and more top ten hits than Elvis (or, you know, anyone else ... ever), who arrived on stage for her record-breaking 'Sticky & Sweet' tour astride a massive "M" throne, was spotted in New York on Wednesday taking the most pleb of public transit options: the subway.

This shocking news arrived on the same day that her 13-year-old daughter, Lourdes, started classes at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, a prestigious and PUBLIC school in Manhattan that served as the inspiration for the 1980 film 'Fame.' One can only hope that Lola has already jumped atop a cafeteria table to express herself.

You read that right! Madonna's eldest daughter is now attending a public high school. What's next? Rocco in Wranglers? David and Mercy spotted leaving an area Chuck E. Cheese?

We kid -- David and Mercy aren't allowed to have cheese!

But of late, since returning to New York full-time, Her Madgesty has been spotted in a variety of situations that border on the banal. For example, according to a Page Six report, she even deigned to cross the bridge into Brooklyn to dine on "fish tacos and Malbec wine" at El Almacen in Williamsburg. Madonna! You're supposed to drink white wine with fish, and Williamsburg is where we keep the hipsters. You've been warned.

Taylor Momsen -- star of 'Gossip Girl' and the face of Material Girl, the clothing line Madonna and Lola recently launched at Macy's (which they chose for its middle-American accessibility!) -- even dared to refer to the Queen of Pop as "just a normal person" and "very polite and nice" while doing press for the line.

For a further slice of Madonna-style normalcy, here's 10-year-old Rocco jamming out on stage with mama last year. Just your average night in with mom ... and 75,000 of her closest friends.
