Taylor Thinks Kanye Can Take His Song and Shove It!

One year after Kanye West stole Taylor Swift's thunder in epic fashion at the MTV Video Music Awards, the attention seeker is at it again, however, this time she's fighting back.

Last weekend, West tweeted that he "wrote a song for Taylor that's so beautiful," and if she rejects it, then he'll perform it for her. Well, warm up that Auto-Tune machine, Kanye, because sources tell me she wants nothing to do with it.

"Taylor writes her own sounds and has been very successful at it," a record executive tells me. "Why would she want to sing one of Kanye's songs? The last thing she wants to do is give him any more attention or make him any money."

It's true that songwriters often make more money than performers on song royalties. Dolly Parton, who wrote 'I Will Always Love You,' famously said that when she wrote the iconic song, she opened a bank account, but when Whitney Houston recorded it, she bought the bank.

Taylor is the first female solo artist in country music history to write or co-write every song on a platinum-selling, self-titled debut album. In addition, Swift wrote or co-wrote every song on her blockbuster 'Fearless' album, which has sold more than 5 million copies.

"It's just another insult that this fool thinks she would sing a song he wrote," a friend of Taylor's tells me. "His ego is out of control. If anything, Kanye should be singing a song that Taylor wrote, not the other way around. As far as Taylor is concerned, he can take his song and shove it."

Ouch. Although, I can't say I blame her.

Jamie dear, Taylor Swift writes childish songs because she IS a child. She was introduced to the CM audience when she was about 16 and she's just 20 now. Just how much depth do you think she should have at her age? And in the same vein, I would have to ask what impact YOU have had on the world, in any fashion....regardless of your age? Give her some time and let her have some life's experience, and let her be until then. She is a lovely young lady and I would much rather the young girls today have her as an example, rather than the likes of Lady Gaga.

The very thing you say about Taylor regarding her career can be said about Kanye and even on a greater scale. For many years he was writing songs and producing/engineering mega hits behind the scenes for some of today's largest artists before he actually took the mic and did the same for himself. He's a great songwriter and his delivery is flawless. His ablum Late Registration can easily be one of the best albums of all time. Don't hate, appreciate.

Believe it or not I have never heard the black fellow sing. But I have heard Taylor. She is a beautiful woman. She writes beautiful songs. And for those that like her she is a beautiful singer. But if she makes any money off me it will be as a song writer, not a singer.

Kanye can be butthole for sure. And he has been often. But make no mistake, Taylor was an unknown to most of the world outside of her little one until Kanye put her in the spotlight.
He is one of the best producer over the past 10 years in music. Say what you want, but Taylor does not have the amount of total album sales as Kanye. And kanye has appeared and produced for some of the best in the music biz. Jay-Z to name one. 11 #1 albums. And Kanye was on at least 4 as producer and artist. Don't get him beig an idiot at times for not being talented..

Her talent is writing, not singing what she's written.

Couldn't help but laugh when I saw Taylor Swift on stage surrounded by past and present Saints team members yesterday. I would've loved to have seen that twerp Kanye try and take anything from her then!

Well, here's the skinny on that: Many of the Saints players were saying what a lousy singer Swift is after that performance. Many were snickering as she sung. I know. I was right there with them. The Saints don't care about a wimpy singer like Taylor Swift. If Kanye would have showed up they would have gladly let him toss Taylor off the stage. It was that bad!!!
