Taylor Thinks Kanye Can Take His Song and Shove It!

One year after Kanye West stole Taylor Swift's thunder in epic fashion at the MTV Video Music Awards, the attention seeker is at it again, however, this time she's fighting back.

Last weekend, West tweeted that he "wrote a song for Taylor that's so beautiful," and if she rejects it, then he'll perform it for her. Well, warm up that Auto-Tune machine, Kanye, because sources tell me she wants nothing to do with it.

"Taylor writes her own sounds and has been very successful at it," a record executive tells me. "Why would she want to sing one of Kanye's songs? The last thing she wants to do is give him any more attention or make him any money."

It's true that songwriters often make more money than performers on song royalties. Dolly Parton, who wrote 'I Will Always Love You,' famously said that when she wrote the iconic song, she opened a bank account, but when Whitney Houston recorded it, she bought the bank.

Taylor is the first female solo artist in country music history to write or co-write every song on a platinum-selling, self-titled debut album. In addition, Swift wrote or co-wrote every song on her blockbuster 'Fearless' album, which has sold more than 5 million copies.

"It's just another insult that this fool thinks she would sing a song he wrote," a friend of Taylor's tells me. "His ego is out of control. If anything, Kanye should be singing a song that Taylor wrote, not the other way around. As far as Taylor is concerned, he can take his song and shove it."

Ouch. Although, I can't say I blame her.

Taylor is the youngest person ever honored by the Songwriters' Hall of Fame, which has some members in their 90's. So much for her writing 'bubblegum music.' She toured far too long from 18 to 20 for 18 months, forced by stardom and the machine around her that was making everyone else their retirements, and her voice does need rest and practice too, but the girl is brilliant. She wrote lots of her hits at 14-15 in school.
Kanye is a brutal jerk who's now sniveling for attention after boasting, bragging, chest-pounding, pointing, threatening and generally being a mindless rapper racist who doesn't deserve to breathe anyway. As Trace Adkins said: "If she was my daughter, I'd still be poundin' on the boy!"

Taylor Swift is not talented! Her song writing is mediocre at best. Sounds like she should be writng songs for Sesame Street or Barney and her singing even less than mediocre. I wish people would stop giving her such praise, she does not deserve it!

Well for starters, the awards she (Taylor) won were for songs recorded. None of the awards were for singing "live". When she sings live, she is off cue, off time and really off key. The last award show I watched did not include her singing. When you record, you can hide a lot of defects. Sure her writing is good, but you have to have both to be great. She is far from being great. When she can sing live and sound like Reba, Carrie, even Kelly, then she might, I said might be good.

She should send him a note, via her lawyer, to cease and desist any futher contact, and threatening legal action if he doesn't. There is something seriously wrong with this "almost-a-man." Was it the loss of his mother that made him lose his marbles, or was he a jack-hole before? If alcohol is the problem, then that award show should have made it obvious to him that a major change in his life is necessary.

To the Taylor haters, I understand that she may not be the greatest singer or even fit into the true country genre, but you've got to give the girl props for being a great role model.

Three names; Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Neil Peart. All three of them have don far more for the world than Taylor Swift could dream of. They refuse to play Live Aid every year on the grounds that they can give more money by donating it themselves, and because they don't feel genuine about getting attention for giving money. Neil, especially, has biked around Africa and Central America incognito to personally give what he had. Geddy and Alex are both children of immigrants, and Geddy's parents were in Bergen-Belsen before they moved to Toronto. All three have families, and are excellent family men. And finally, as pure musicians and innovators (love or hate the music), they are so far beyond Taylor Swift or Kanye West that they are still writing music after 40 years.
