Lady Gaga Shocks as Usual on 2010 VMAs White Carpet

Lady Gaga always makes a splash with her fashion choices, and her outfit for the VMAs certainly stunned the white carpet.

Gaga made her way in this year's Video Music Awards with silver and blue hair, and large gold feathers perched on top of her head.

Her seemingly baroque-inspired printed dress consisted of a high-necked, jeweled collar with a long train and black tulle at the bottom. During an interview, she explained that the ensemble is an Alexander McQueen from his last collection.

If last year was any indication, we're in for several Gaga outfit-changes, as she has been nominated for 13 awards. Her most memorable garb came in the form of a red lace McQueen, which completely covered her face.

She is truly a queen! Look at her! She owns every other person there. She's Queen Elizabeth among the paupers. US mag said the outfit was "nutty". Well, sorry, not everyone can be talentless Kardashianesque twits with feathered barrel waves.

Lady Ga-Gray...very attractive. The stiff-upper feather's a little over the top, literally, but she's brilliant. Never thought of her as a beauty, but she has an uncanny ability to create a look, however way-out, and adjust it to parameters unexplored by mortal man. I'm 57 years old and shouldn't be enthralled by strange goddesses, but she's truly a unique persona with charismatic presence and great artistic vision.

I'm not a huge Lady Ga-Ga fan, though I have to give her props for consistently doing something different from all the other pretty young singers out there. However, what I don't understand is why her unusual fashion choices are a surprise to anyone anymore!!! She quite simply dresses to stand out...and it's unfair to label her as a "Fashion Don't," because creativity shouldn't be punished. Whether she's truly eccentric, and is dressing to please herself, or just another celebrity looking for attention; her choice of dress is ALWAYS specific. She's not dressed in some hideous, ill-fitting disaster just because of the designer's name or because her handlers dressed her. She dresses to make an impact, and she always does. I just don't know why the paparazzi insist on making a huge, indignant stink over her choices.

The only "fashion choices" Lady GaGa makes are to look as ridiculous as possible so people will stare at her like a car wreck. I guess she's hoping this will take away from the fact she has no talent.

I agree with you... she's great and people should just accept her outrageousness. And, isn't it so incredibly fitting that she receive the best video award from CHER... another incredible persona who has always been over-the-top with her style choices.
