Kanye West Toasts Himself at VMAs With New Song, 'Runaway'

Dressed in red and feeling feisty,
Kanye West brushed off a smattering of boos in the audience and performed his non-answer to
Taylor Swift's song about him at the MTV VMAs on Sunday. He didn't exactly address last year's incident, when he infamously interrupted Swift's acceptance speech to proclaim her video wasn't as good as one by Beyonce. Instead, with the new song 'Runaway,' West targeted himself and his trademark jerk-ish behavior.
"I always find something wrong / You've been putting up with my s**t for too long," he sang, before launching into a chorus that included the lines: "Let's have a toast to the douchebags / Let's have a toast to the a**holes." WATCH:
West took the stage at the end of the night, after Swift performed her own song. That one, 'Still an Innocent,' was actually about West, though it was not an attack on him.
Swift's song is being described as an olive branch to her former nemesis. "Everyone of us has messed up, too ... I hope you remember today is never too late to be brand new."
The 20-year-old's song, which began with a video montage of last year's debacle, came off more like a lecture than a lashing.
"Thirty-two and still growing up now / Who you are is not what you did," she sang both seriously and softly, adding: "You're still an innocent."
Their equally emotional performances seemed to provide resolution to the incident, while overshadowing the show's other moments, including Lady Gaga's eight VMA wins.

LISTEN TO THE SONG I THINK IT WAS MADE FOR U! LOL
Please learn to spell and speak proper english. It's unfortunate that people that seem to support this person all have language challenges. Why is that?
The best way to change the music that is forced fed to us is to stop buying the crap they give us. Money is the only thing that talks in this business. Lets support real music and do away with digital techno crap!

Sometimes you can "Keep it TOO Real" and there lies the problem of being self centered ,insensative and then you end up making an A%# hole of yourself as experienced by Kanye.

Are the VMA's even relevant anymore???

And people wonder why the kids are so messed up today. With a lyric like Kanye West delivers, the message is loud and clear. The kids have trash as rold models. This poor country has gone down the toilet.

I admire Taylor Swift for her song of "forgiveness" and her performance - that was "big" of her and her message was appreciated! I also admire Kanye for his poise in performing! Kanye walked through the storm, apologized, and is moving forward. There is a lesson to be learned by all of it. Hats off to both Taylor and Kanye for a peaceful resolution! Now let's move forward.

You people are the a**hole, who can't see the forgiveness unless its one of your color. He beep up , he said he was sorry and tried making amend but no y'all want to keep throwing it out there, in the same token Ms. Swift claims to forgives and yet she still is the righteous one see where this is going. now if both were the same color as white, you all would be saying a different story like , he is really sorry andtrying. sometime we mess up let us forgive his stupidity and move on. Let it died a**holes, especially you so call writer who Supposably be objective about writing things. look like its all onesided.

Yep, this yr.'s VMA's were missing something. wasn't impressed with most performances...not Taylor's or Kanye's...Lady Gaga is the music du jour and wish them success as long as it lasts...don't think it's going to be long.
