Oprah Gives Audience Trip to Australia in Last Season Premiere

Oprah Winfrey is known for her grand gestures -- especially on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' where she continues to give away fabulous gifts to her audience. And for the final season premiere of her syndicated talk show, she's gifting everyone in the audience with a trip to Australia.

"Because, after all, this really is my 25th season and this is really my last chance to do something really big," she explained, The New York Daily News reports.

There will be two episodes of 'Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure,' which will feature O's biggest fans down under, in places like the Sydney Opera House. The trip will happen this coming December.

"It's one of the places I've always wanted to visit, and who better to take with me on this trip of a lifetime than some of my most loyal viewers. My team has been planning this trip for almost a year and we are so excited," Oprah said in a statement.

After airing, Oprah tweeted that she was pleased no one let the news leak. "Audience -- it's unbelievable that you kept that secret all weekend!! Way to go mates," she wrote.

Meanwhile, she kicked off her first show with John Travolta, one of her favorite guests throughout the years. (Travolta showed up again at the end of the episode as the "pilot" of the plane to Australia.)

Don Johnson even made a special appearance. Oprah tried to get the formed 'Miami Vice' star on her first episode ever, even bribing him with rhinestone sunglasses to entice him to come. Unfortunately he couldn't make it then. But this time, he gave the glasses back to Winfrey.

Producers managed to finally surprise Oprah herself with a performance by Paul Simon, which brought her to tears.

Don't worry, Oprah isn't leaving your TV for good -- despite abandoning 'Oprah' after 25 years. In 2011, OWN -- The Oprah Winfrey Network will feature a different kind of talk show from the queen of daytime television.

well, oprah makes her money, its her choice on how to spend it. funny how many black women dont like her...guess they are jealous, or wondering why she doesnt give it all to them while they sit on their butts waiting for a handout. i love oprah. always have. always will..havent always agreed with her...said i wasnt going to watch her anymore when she supported obama..lol..but we all have our rights to what we support and believe in. gotta respect that...when i see oprah..i see a chance we all have....and she took it by the horns, kicked butt, made something of her life...we all have that chance...that ability...its what you want to do with your life, she did it. love my oprah..gonna miss her.

I pity the individuals who can't see Oprah for what she really is. You think she's really a generous, caring and loving person? Actually Oprah is anything but that. First and foremost Oprah's a narcissist; a self absorbed, power hungry scag that exploits people for her sheer benefit: known as ratings. and ratings mean big dollars, greed. Her "generosity" on camera is merely an advertising stunt. People who obviously don't exercise the much needed skepticism automatically believe in people like Oprah. They think that personalities like Oprah exhibit some god-like quality. The same reason why some people trust in crooks and liars like "Dr." Phil, Dr. Oz, psychics and tele-evalgelists. Do some research on these people and know what crooked individuals they all are. it's just a google search away.

THANK YOU !! Finally someone who's not wearing blinders, or have been brain washed by this woman. When she found out her own people were turning on her, she thought building a school in Africa would buy back their respect. It didn't
She was not invited to Coretta Scot Kings funeral services but she crashed it and made it her business to speak when no one asked her to. She was there for the media attention. Everything thing she does there is a reason behind it that will benefit her in some way.
As for those trips down under, I can be eaten by insects here,let alone all the other critters and small beasts they have there.
