Taylor Swift a 'Wreck' Before Performing Kanye Song

On Sunday night, Taylor Swift once again found herself in the company of the man that made her cry. Not only was the young Taylor seeing Kanye West for the first time since the rapper's infamous ambush at last year's VMAs, she was also debuting a new song about him that she was terrified to perform.

"Taylor was a nervous wreck before she hit the stage last night," a friend of the singer tells me. "She knew Kanye was in the building and was terrified and praying that he wouldn't pull another stunt. Taylor rejected Kanye's offer to sing a song he wrote about the entire stage-storming innocent and had no idea how he would react to the song she wrote and performed about him."

Taylor's new song, 'Still an Innocent,' was indeed very emotional. "Lost your balance on the tight rope / It's never too late to get it back," she sang. "Thirty-two and still growing up now ... who you are is not what you say," Swift continued as everyone in the audience waited for West to react.

Thankfully, sources tell me extra security was dispatched to make sure no unauthorized person could access the stage again. However, Kayne did get to react to the classy Taylor at the end of the show when he performed a new song.

"Let's have a toast for the a**holes / Let's have a toast for the douchebag," West sang. "Let's have a toast for the scumbag ... everyone of them I know."

At the end of the day, we can take some comfort knowing that young Taylor did make the rapper sweat. Sources tell me that West was so worried about what Taylor might sing about him that he insisted he would only perform at this year's awards if he went on after Miss Swift.

The show was terrible, the rude and crude language is out of hand and the ill manner things they do, it is disgusting, I watch until after Taylor and turned it off. They would have alot more viewers if they were not so crude. The host was terrible and she thought she was really great.....

I am so proud of Taylor Swift for NOT singing Kanye's song. As far as talent goes, Taylor Swift rises way ABOVE Kanye since it seems like the only way he can have a hit song is to sing it with filthy words!!!

You know it really is a shame that Taylor Swift just cannot sing worth a darn. She is a wreck. I just do not understand what all the junk is about. She is cute, has a nice figure, and personality. But sing, she is just awful. And I am a country music fan. She is a total disgrace and to call what she does country music is a disgrace to people everywhere. I saw Joey and Rory on TV Sat. On Rory's guitar said "We Miss Country Music", and ain't that the truth. Although they are absolutely fantastic. They sang two beautiful songs. I was very impressed.

Maybe she looked in the mirror and saw how ugly she is or heard how terrible her voice is. Give it 10 years Swift, then you'll have a more interesting perspective on life and maybe your lyrics won't be so lame and dry. She should be happy Kayne insulted her on stage like that, now she is really famous!

i didnt like this years awards...after Eminem performed it went down the toilet. Chelsea handler was not funny. The performances were alot of lip synching. Taylor and Kanye cmon that was a year ago, are you serious? It was just all awful.

Not for nothing but if she really wanted to leave it behind her, she wouldn't have gone and wrote a song about him and then perform the song at the VMA's with the beginning video of the "incident"....was that really necessary?? And as for Kanye, I am still trying to figure out what the heck was going on on the stage? Its all a show people!
