Taylor Swift a 'Wreck' Before Performing Kanye Song

On Sunday night, Taylor Swift once again found herself in the company of the man that made her cry. Not only was the young Taylor seeing Kanye West for the first time since the rapper's infamous ambush at last year's VMAs, she was also debuting a new song about him that she was terrified to perform.

"Taylor was a nervous wreck before she hit the stage last night," a friend of the singer tells me. "She knew Kanye was in the building and was terrified and praying that he wouldn't pull another stunt. Taylor rejected Kanye's offer to sing a song he wrote about the entire stage-storming innocent and had no idea how he would react to the song she wrote and performed about him."

Taylor's new song, 'Still an Innocent,' was indeed very emotional. "Lost your balance on the tight rope / It's never too late to get it back," she sang. "Thirty-two and still growing up now ... who you are is not what you say," Swift continued as everyone in the audience waited for West to react.

Thankfully, sources tell me extra security was dispatched to make sure no unauthorized person could access the stage again. However, Kayne did get to react to the classy Taylor at the end of the show when he performed a new song.

"Let's have a toast for the a**holes / Let's have a toast for the douchebag," West sang. "Let's have a toast for the scumbag ... everyone of them I know."

At the end of the day, we can take some comfort knowing that young Taylor did make the rapper sweat. Sources tell me that West was so worried about what Taylor might sing about him that he insisted he would only perform at this year's awards if he went on after Miss Swift.

Well, one thing I think is that the 2010 VMA's was too short- it seem like stuff was just happening to fast. And alot of people weren't there for their awards too- that old stuff between swift n westen is old-- move on please- Liked both songs though/ was she really nervous?- anyone would be with millions of people looking/ but either way i still love her work.

Kanye was dead wrong last year . . he knows that the MTV music awards are more about popularity amongst the teeny boppers than anything . . and Taylor Swift was one up on Beyonce in poularity at the time. But what can you say . . his actions were Hennessey induced.

Taylor Swift should be thankful for his actions though because he increased her popularity by 1000% . . . not just with the teeny boppers who already loved her but also with the older generations who felt sorry for her afer the awards.
Miss Swift sounded terrible last night and usually sounds terrible at live performances. She needs to work longer with a vocal coach and strengthen her vocals. Plus all of her songs sound the same.

As far as Kanye . . the loss of his mother chipped away at him mentally . . .especially since he felt his celebrity status had something to do with his mom wanting the plastic surgery and her being able to find a doctor who performed the surgery despite her health. He is still not well and his actions, music and performances reflect what he is going through mentally. He needs to seek therapy. His performance was all over the place last night. I didn't get the mix of the ballet dancers, rapper, keyboard and auto-tune . . .

Let's see if I follow, Ms Swift owes her success to Mr West? Why was she at last years show, if Mr West had yet to make her famous and she can't sing? Also we are to nurture Mr West and forget his actions, that were due to his drinking and the fact that his mother died? It is stupid to go onstage if your emotional condition is so bad you can't control your actions, but that can't be as he is a genius, I heard him say so...

She was there last year because of her popularity . . . she cannot sing live . . . and her audience is teeny bopper filled .the ones who purchased the CD's and whose vote matters on the MTV Awards . . . So yes . . she owes her career blossoming after the event to Kanye . . otherwise . . . Taylor Whoooooo . . .
