Are Enemies Trying to Sabotage Jennifer Lopez on 'American Idol'?

Are there shadowy forces at work trying to sabotage Jennifer Lopez's bid to become the next 'American Idol' judge? According to a new report, FOX execs believe enemies of the show as well as Lopez's competition are planting rumors about the star's so-called "diva demands" before signing on the dotted line.

Well-connected sources tell TMZ that negotiations between the two parties have been "normal" and that Lopez is expected to officially be named a judge on the show any day now.

Rumors floating around about Lopez include that she demanded too much money and insisted a movie deal be included in her contract. Sources say some sort of movie component is involved in the negotiations, but it is not a key part of Lopez's deal.

In early August, sources told PopEater's Rob Shuter that Lopez was only offered the job after several big-name celebrities, including Elton John and Barry Manilow, turned down offers to be permanent judges.

Lopez's people have been working on the deal for over a month, since shortly before Ellen DeGeneres announced she was leaving the show. Since then, Kara DioGuardi also exited, though it remains unclear if she chose to leave or was fired. Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has told friends he is replacing Simon Cowell, meaning when the dust settles, it will be Tyler, Randy Jackson and presumably Lopez at the judges table come season 10.

I hardly ever watch American Idol and with Jennifer Lopez on it I never will. I think Lopez is doing it strictly for the money. Her recent movies have all tanked and her and her husbands cd's are not selling either. I do not know what her perfume or clothing line is doing, but obviously she needs the bucks to remain living the life style she has grown accustomed too. I also think the only one sabotasing Jennifers career is Jennifer herself.

So, is it Jennifer Lopez who has enemies or is it American Idol? I'm afraid I don't watch the show anyway because I don't like contest shows, so it doesn't matter to me whether Jennifer Lopez is on it or not.

It is hard to imagine that Jennifer Lopez would even want to do American Idol, please....Anyone that doesn't want her level of talent there is simply jealous. She is far more talented than Paula Abdul ever was. The fact she actually wants to be a judge speaks volumes of the show. I am not a fan, but I may start watching it now. Good Luck JLo!

Jennifer Lopez is her own worse enemy, she needs no help!
A woman that can wreck a married man's home, throw tantrum's to gain whatever she wants, and she's not a huge icon, in my opinion, she's no talent, living on the wings of Marc Anthony, her current husband. American Idol will lose viewers due to Simon Cowell's departure, he is American Idol, it's the reason I and I am sure, so many others have watched.
Say, NO, Thank you to having Jennifer Lopez on American Idol.
She couldn't give good, honest constructive criticism!

For American Idol to be refreshed and revisited, I would like to see a revamping of the judges, rehiring three new, literate, honest, talented, knowledgeable in the artistic/music field inside/out, also, raw, unseasoned talent, with no background in the music industry, as I believed this was to be the premise for American Idol. I feel that the past few seasons lost viewing audiences due to having contestants already seasoned, in bands, on Broadway, performers in their towns, etc, no raw talent looking to be discovered and given the open door to their future in the music industry.
American Idol will definitely be done without Simon Cowell, he is American Idol, unless the producers get rid of the current ones, including Randy Jackson, and rebuild with new, literate, knowledgeable, honest and able to give straightforward critiques to help those contestants grow, learn and thrive on.

The should start fresh with 3 100 percent unknown, normal, everyday folks from 3 different areas of the country - west, middle, east. Take ordinary America,the one's whose Idol the winner supposedly is, and let THEM judge. Seriously, I had no idea who the original judges were when it started and I didn't agree with many of their opinions, so three very different basic American folks (different in many ways) could possibly be far better judges of "American" idols.

Plus, they wouldn't require millions in a salary. They'd love getting a fraction of that! (I would, at least)
