Kanye West 'Felt Very Alone' After Taylor Swift Fiasco

After a year of avoiding the press,
Kanye West is ready to tell his side of the story. The 'Runaway' singer penned his first article for
XXL magazine , and PopEater has the
exclusive first look at his reaction to the 2009
Taylor Swift VMA debacle.
"I stress that the incident wasn't about Taylor personally. And it definitely wasn't about race. Where I messed up is, at the end of the day, it's your show, Taylor. It's your show, MTV," West explains in
XXL's October 2010 issue, on stands next week.
"The relationship with the public and with your fans is like the relationship with your girlfriend. How could I not, at a certain point, be like, 'I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been at the awards show. I'm sorry.' Not that I don't deserve to get beat up or change who I am inside, to make sure that that doesn't happen again."
West is, of course, speaking about the notorious night last year when he stormed the stage at the VMAs, grabbed Swift's mic and told the audience that a different artist (Beyonce) deserved to win the Best Female Video award that had just been awarded to the young pop star.
During Sunday night's 2010 VMAs, West
performed his non-answer to Swift's song about him. And while he didn't exactly address last year's incident, he did take aim at his disrespectful behavior.
"I knew I wasn't in a great spot publicly after the incident, but I would just block it out and work as hard as possible and let my work be my saving grace. In a way, I had thrown a Molotov cocktail at my own career, and it gave me an opportunity, for the first time, to go away and find out who I was. Because I felt very alone," he writes in the mag.
In addition to penning his own article, West curated and creatively directed 40 pages of the magazine.

If you want to call todays music an art then you all need your heads examined, you can take the two remaining Beatles and they have more talent than all of them put together.

The VMA's did not ruin Kanye's career. Kanye ruined Kanye's career. So, he felt alone after his debacle. That's because no one stood by his side after he did that inappropriate thing. He was wrong, everyone knew he was wrong, and no one sided with him, that's all there is to it. Kanye should find another career.

NO nigga YOU ruined your career by acting like well ...a ...nigga!

Kanye needs to learn that sometimes less is best! VMA didn't ruin his career, he did! Grow-up, the world does not revolve around you, Kanye! Learn to take responsibility for your own actions!

Why does he keep bringing it up? I would have forgotten by now if he did not keep mentioning it. My gut feeling is that nobody is talking about him any more, so he brought it up, so he would seem relevant. There is nothing worse for an egocentric person irrelevant.
So what is the deal with Justin Beeber? Why does everyone dislike that kid so much. On just about every post, folks are saying nasty things. Why him? There are dozens of kids who get famous every year and for some reason that kid seems to rub everyone wrong. He's just a kid. Why him and not all the other Disney type kids?

Can we just let this go. Kanye made a statement after Hurricane Katrina "Bush hates black people". Guess what Kanye, he does'nt think too much of white people earning less than six figures. That's why Obama won.

Geez! Is he obsessed? That incident was so last year. It's time to move on.

You say "Kanye West: VMAs Ruined My Career" you have that wrong. YOU ruined your career. All on your own. No help from anyone or anything. May others learn from you mistake.

I'm supposed to feel sorry for this guy? When would anyone in their right mind think what he did was "acceptable." Why did he think it was ok, because he was "drunk?" Can a leopard change its spots? This guy is a fool, a tool and needs to be taken to school.Yo yo yo.
