Kanye West 'Felt Very Alone' After Taylor Swift Fiasco

After a year of avoiding the press,
Kanye West is ready to tell his side of the story. The 'Runaway' singer penned his first article for
XXL magazine , and PopEater has the
exclusive first look at his reaction to the 2009
Taylor Swift VMA debacle.
"I stress that the incident wasn't about Taylor personally. And it definitely wasn't about race. Where I messed up is, at the end of the day, it's your show, Taylor. It's your show, MTV," West explains in
XXL's October 2010 issue, on stands next week.
"The relationship with the public and with your fans is like the relationship with your girlfriend. How could I not, at a certain point, be like, 'I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been at the awards show. I'm sorry.' Not that I don't deserve to get beat up or change who I am inside, to make sure that that doesn't happen again."
West is, of course, speaking about the notorious night last year when he stormed the stage at the VMAs, grabbed Swift's mic and told the audience that a different artist (Beyonce) deserved to win the Best Female Video award that had just been awarded to the young pop star.
During Sunday night's 2010 VMAs, West
performed his non-answer to Swift's song about him. And while he didn't exactly address last year's incident, he did take aim at his disrespectful behavior.
"I knew I wasn't in a great spot publicly after the incident, but I would just block it out and work as hard as possible and let my work be my saving grace. In a way, I had thrown a Molotov cocktail at my own career, and it gave me an opportunity, for the first time, to go away and find out who I was. Because I felt very alone," he writes in the mag.
In addition to penning his own article, West curated and creatively directed 40 pages of the magazine.

How long will they keep this talentless bigmouth person in the news. He is a racist and he made racist remarks and now he wants to act like he is really sorry. I dont buy it. All he wants is some more news time. He is pathetic.

Question: Who give a rat's ars about the Con-Yea Taylor Swift episode from a whole year ago? Can we just move on? He's nothing more than a no-talent, gutter month, delusional narcissist and though she still can't sing live without being pitchy all over the scale, she seens like a sweet girl who loves mama, country and apple pie.
So you felt alone Con-Yea? Once again, it's all about "me", look at me, feel sorry for "me". Right; and George Bush still hates black people. Enough all ready.
And it is a sad statement about the music (?) industry when a lip-syncing, panty wad is the main feature.

Why do we give this no-talent CLOWN so much media attention. here's a clue...like Chris Brown, if the media goes away, people won't buy his CD's and he'll go away

He's still a jerk

Kanye just needs to go away.

Kanye made a mistake. A year later, he at least acknowledges it and repeatedly apologized to Taylor. It does not excuse what he did... or make it ok, BUT.... it has been a year... water under the bridge... move on to bigger and better things. Taylor sung her song and that was her reply. It is nice to see he accepts responsiblity for it and is man enough to say he is sorry and admit he was wrong!

Kanye is still too much of a coward. He refuses to admit that the INFAMOUS INCIDENT was only about racism.

kayne is a perfect example of what happens when cousins mate. He is a boorish fool that believes his own b.s.

I was Just-in Beaver last night and it was the best part of my night too - my wife loved every minute of it - both of them.

Reverse racism has been around for a long time, and it surfaced that night too. Yeah, Kanye isn't a racist, and you know, Hitler was a really nice guy, too, just misunderstood. Give me a break.

Kayne still doesn't get it. It is NOT all about him.

So what. Now the guy wants sympathy for his actions of just over a year ago. It is obvious the guy isnt very secure about himself. He is a child. When the VMA's asked about him performing, he said he'd only perform if he could go AFTER taylor swift. WHAT A BIG FAKING CRY BABY !!!! grow a pair, then you can call ourself a man. Be polite and respectful, and then maybe you'll not be looked upon as a racist.

Cannee once a douche always a douche.....I thinjk we can ALL agree on that.

"You can't change what you don't acknowledge".His narcissistic (look it up)spin on life is out of control, he is out of control, a "VICTIM". Poor little hot mess!

BS Kanye! It was a bout race and you didnt like Swift winning. Go somewhere else where people will believe your crap.

Just another POS that can't seperate his color from his mouth.

When do you expect when you give an ape a microphone? He just craps all over it.

Why does this jerk need to be told or tell himself, "....it's your show, Taylor. It's your show, MTV"? At least he's making music and not out killing people which I think could've been a fine line in how he turned out.

Kanye West is a Racist. If Taylor was Black he would not have said anything. He should just go away.

Kanye West is only important to Kanye West and the couple hundred people who (for some odd reason) think he's some kind of musical genius. Personally, I think he's disgusting, and should be run out of show business, because all he ever does is flap his mouth about something HE thinks is important--and clearly, he doesn't have the intelligence to have an legitimate opinion on anything. I can't help but wonder if all the people who whine "Why are we still talking about this?" would be so inclined had it been the little girl who'd interrupted his acceptance speech...somehow, I think that would've been the cry heard 'round the world for decades instead of just one year...with Kanye himself leading the protest parade. His opinion of himself is obviously far greater than it should be, given what an utter waste of stage space he is. He's had his fifteen minutes--it's time for him to crawl back under the rock he came out from under, and leave the stage for good singers. (((if they can even find one, considering what a 'sensation' everyone seems to think Justin Beiber is, or the overall pathetic example of 'winners' the VMA had on their last so called awards show)))
