Michaele Salahi Reveals She Has Multiple Sclerosis

White House party crasher and 'Real Housewives in D.C.' star Michaele Salahi has revealed in a new book that she has multiple sclerosis.

Salahi was diagnosed with the nervous system disorder seven years ago. The reality star appeared on a FOX News morning show on Wednesday and explained why she kept the illness a secret for so long.

"This is the first time I've said it publicly ... It's something I kept personal," Salahi said. "I think a lot of people do with chronic illnesses or any type of disease, whether it's heart [disease] or whatever you deal with, you know, breast cancer, so for me, I kept it personal because I never wanted to be judged, never wanted to have pity, and I certainly wanted to hold on to my job."

Salahi deals with the disease by going on with life as if nothing is different and keeping a positive mind-set.

"The only way I can deal with it is to smile and act like I can get through it," she told PEOPLE in another interview.

The new book, titled 'Cirque du Salahi,' was written by Diane Dimond.

really depends on the medicine she's on as well though if she does have it, with previous medicines i had absolutely no energy but once i changed to tysabri my life totally changed and im full of energy, you'd never think der was anything wrong with me. so like if thats the type of meds she's on then maybe it just is easy to hide....but then again surely it would be in the media if she was in and out of hospital once a month....

Lots of people are sick, it doesnt mean she can do and say what ever she wishes. It does not mean that the world owes her any thing, ever. Maybe her husband told her what ever she wants from now on, but thats up to him to pay for, no one else.
It dont mean bad behavior will be excused.

IF this is true, it is sad.......however, I would have to see proof from a REAL, bona-fide Medical Professional. These people are scam artists, liars and thieves. This could very easily be another of their games they play so often and so well with the public......using the media STUPID enough to give them a platform. Will not be surprised at all if this turns out to be another...."Oh, yes, we were invited," or "We're hosting a Birthday Bash for someone...BUT WE'RE CERTAINLY NOT PAYING FOR IT!!"

I hate to say it, but my first thought was "the faker is at it again". Ms. Salahi is actually a rather sad individual. I certainly wouldn't want to be her.

Maybe the Salahi's are a reality show hidden within a reality show and in the end, they jump out and scream "Surprise, you're on Candid Camera." They give me that feeling. Like they're acting out some part in a script providing raw entertainment to the world. 'Invoke, provoke, evoke.' That's part of the mission statement of Cirque Du Soleil. Interesting that Michaele Salahi's new book title is Cirque Du Salahi. Might be coincidence, but the more I see of them the more I think those two are experts in the art of messing with people's heads.

You are sooo right. They are acting according to Bravo just like all the HW shows. They should hook them up with a "Stupid HW from all over" show with Danielle, Crazy Kelley and NeNe (da,da).
Now that show I might watch.

I don't believe for a minute that this charletan has any illness, unless it's a MENTAL one. I was diagnosed with MS 12 years ago, and the crushing fatigue that I have endured nearly daily since then says there is no way that dingbat can be bouncing around, claiming she never gets tired and has endless energy. That is the OPPOSITE of what people with MS feel! She's a fake, a crook, and a liar. NOTHING she says should be taken seriously without PROOF. Considering the shenanigans her and her creepy husband have been up to, everything she says is suspect.

Kim K is in my face too often. I see nothing in her. They all have whining voices, never date white men (one and he is a jerk), mother is a piece of crap, father Mr. Milk Toast. They need to move away, far away.

As far as M.S., I'm not quite sure if I believe her. She has so many stories to remember, how does she keep them straight. I did like the red dress she wore to the Whitehouse. Diane Dimond is pretty decent so I don't know about the book - too coincidental. The truth will appear one day, maybe!!!!

My 21 year old son was just diagnosed a month ago with MS. I don't beleive anyone would ever lie about an illness such as this. If she does have it shame on all of you- it is not an easy illness and in the past 3 weeks I have had to watch my son give himself a shot everyday which will continue for the rest of his life-

PLEASE, she is just trying to get someone to buy her book. This woman and her husband both
need to be terminal. If you think this is harsh just listen to them talk some tim. They are both smug people that somehow believe they are better than everyone else and should be treated like royalty.
How people like this get any attention when there actions are so apparent is beyond me.

They are the new Heidi and Spencer. It is hard to beleive anything she says, because she seems to just want more attention. Please let her and the other housewives just go away.
