Adam Lambert Slaps Photographer Around in Miami

One minute you're throwing out peace sings while lounging at the beach in Miami and the next you're delivering a slap-and-grab on a pesky photographer. All in a day's work for 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert!

"Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach!" the singer, 28, told his Twitter followers Thursday. "They're real good at provoking, but there ain't any pics or video of the bs they spew out."

No, but there are plenty of images of Lambert slapping, grabbing and damn-near mounting the photographer, who is seen trying to escape the grasp of the singer while holding onto his camera.

In other images, another man, possibly Lambert's friend, is seen trying to break up the fight.

The Miami Beach PD is investigating the incident, according to TMZ.

The 'For Your Entertainment' wailer was wearing a large straw cabana hat and goofy sunglasses at the time of the encounter, which he apparently thinks was awesome.

"Hahha the photos are hilarious!!! LOL please everyone forgive me for that hat," he said on Twitter. "I was attempting a disguise -- clearly failed."

Lambert finished second to Kris Allen in the eighth season of 'American Idol.'

It was all set up.
This is nothing more than a sad attempt for publicty.
Adam's name has not been in the news for weeks.
This is one way to get attention from people. Get a friend to pose as a pap, then act as if hes being bothered by a it all by acting as if they are fighting. I hope Adam sticks with hes day job, he sure dont know how to fight.

Sorry, Adam has been on tour since June and is selling out venues everywhere he goes... He has done over 70 shows in the USA, has five or six to go and then is going overseas for a few months where his shows are selling out so fast they are adding dates as fast as they can, from Australia to China to Japan.... I could go on... I can respect people's opinions on not liking him but I have been to seven shows and met him twice and, 1. He IS hounded relentlessly and, 2. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I cannot imagine what could have set him off to do that. When he is in performance mode, all the pap is fine but just hanging out on the beach for some down time?.. Let him be...

I don't care for the entertainer but I'm all for protecting ones privacy. I would like for someone to explain the difference between stalking and what the paparazzi do every day. One guy goes to jail for spying on a reporter while another guy gets to sue an entertainer for not allowing him to spy on him? Society is really messed up.

Um..Protecting ones privacy? He was outside and in public! You have no privacy sitting on the beach. Sorry, but your reasonable expectation of privacy ends when you step out the front door. Listen, it is not against the law to photograph or take video footage of someone, celebrity or not while they are in a public place. I don't condone some Paparazzo's tactics in other situations, but they have a legal right to their job. Perhaps this guy crossed the line and may have said or did something to get a "rise" out this wannabe "entertainer", which obviously worked. What you do in public is not private. It's just that public knowledge. Right, wrong or indifferent, it's the law!
