Adam Lambert Slaps Photographer Around in Miami

One minute you're throwing out peace sings while lounging at the beach in Miami and the next you're delivering a slap-and-grab on a pesky photographer. All in a day's work for 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert!

"Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach!" the singer, 28, told his Twitter followers Thursday. "They're real good at provoking, but there ain't any pics or video of the bs they spew out."

No, but there are plenty of images of Lambert slapping, grabbing and damn-near mounting the photographer, who is seen trying to escape the grasp of the singer while holding onto his camera.

In other images, another man, possibly Lambert's friend, is seen trying to break up the fight.

The Miami Beach PD is investigating the incident, according to TMZ.

The 'For Your Entertainment' wailer was wearing a large straw cabana hat and goofy sunglasses at the time of the encounter, which he apparently thinks was awesome.

"Hahha the photos are hilarious!!! LOL please everyone forgive me for that hat," he said on Twitter. "I was attempting a disguise -- clearly failed."

Lambert finished second to Kris Allen in the eighth season of 'American Idol.'

to all of you bashing, I was about 20 feet from Adam on the beach. I honestly had no idea he was sitting by me until the paps appeared. They were relaxing quietly, not drawing any attention. I still have no clue how they found him. What they fail to mention above is that Adam allowed them to take photos for about an hour, no probs...he smiled and was cool with it until they asked them to finally give them some privacy to enjoy the rest of their time on the beach. This guy just wouldn't quit. Adam tried to leave the beach and this guy was in his face.. scuffle was so minor..they really blew this up! This was about 4:30 in the afternoon and the beach goers were sparse. They were just trying to chill a little. You know, I'm a HUGE celebrity junky, but this is the first time I witnessed first hand how annoying this must be for them all the time. Yes, they are famous, but what we see on TV always looks like 5 minutes of paps. This went on for an hour. THey still deserve some privacy!

That is so nice of you to stick up for Adam ..I have been too three of his show as I am a fan. Even if I had seen him on the beach I would have left him alone. I def would wave if we had eye contact but that is it...To all who are knocking Adam remember there are two sides...and here you are hearing it from someone who was right there....thanks again!

Thank you for standing up and giving the facts and what really went down that day. Adam is just not a hothead nor temperamental. Now they can't twist the truth because an eyewitness has spoken up.

Adam has been working so hard from the moment he was on American Idol continuing to do Telivison shows,sold out venues here in America,Canada,Europe,Asia...he is constantly doing radio gigs,ryan seacrest interviews...he has been non stop. The poor guy want to enjoy a day on the beach and relax ...Why can't people understand everyone needs their privacy. Even though he is now a celebrity Adam always is so kind to his fans when they see him in the stores, Starbucks etc. So I am on his side 100% and you people who are putting him down because of his sexuality, well my advice is go get some help...at least he is secure with himself. Thank you as I just needed to get that off my chest.

I think Adam Lambert is a wonderful performer. The Indianapolis show was excellent. It is true that Lambert has sold out almost every show and he should be able to have some privacy. Photographer deserved what he received !!!

Everything I have read about Adam Lambert, he is a man of Love and
Peace, therefore, this photographer had to say or do something to
really upset Adam. Fighting is not a word I would use to describe
Adam. He gives well over 100% to his fans when performing and allows the pap to photograph him all the time. Give him a break and
let him be. If the truth was known, this photographer crossed the line somehow. We love and support you Adam.

I think Adam Lambert is not the guy we voted for on American Idol. He has gone overboard with the glam to the point that it is looking gross. If he had done this on AI, he would not have made it to the final 10. So he played us. I know he has some crazy older woman as his fans, but really he is just going to end up like Liberace. Remember Liberace
had all these old ladies that would go to his show in Las Vegas and drool over him.
