Report: Octo-Mom Nadya Suleman Is Broke and On Welfare

With 14 mouths to feed and a failed attempt at reality TV, the so-called "Octo-Mom" is going on welfare. RadarOnline.com reports Nadya Suleman is broke, and is struggling to provide for her family.

"Nadya is running out of money very quickly," a source told Radar. "She's still hoping to pull off a deal that will pay her a fortune but at this point it just doesn't seem possible."

Suleman became a notorious TV personality and a tabloid punchline after giving birth to octuplets on January 29, 2009. But after networks, book publisher's and the national audience lost interest, her career began to crumble.

A TV show deal with Game Show Networks was in sight and she pitched a book to publishers, but nothing has worked out, according to Radar.

"She was hoping for merchandising, but those never came through," the source said. "And she's written a book but no publisher wants it."

On top of everything else, she was threatened with eviction back in April. First she flaunted her miracle birth with countless interviews and TV spots, and after the paparazzi disappeared, now she can't afford it.

"Nadya has nannies and huge expenses raising 14 children," the source said. "She needs a lot of money just to keep up with the basics. And now the income has dried up and she didn't make enough in the past year and a half to live off it."

This won't be the first time she's been on welfare either.

"She's been on public assistance before," the source said.

Yeah, having 14 kids is probably expensive. Guess she should have thought about that before using her uterus to get her fame. Sick woman. Guess you shouldn't have spent thousands on plastic surgery. Now the taxpayers have to pick up the bill.

I think the quack doctor that inseminated her should have to pay child support. The fact that she already had 6 children should have made her ineligible, and implanting that amny embros was definately not a resonsible thing to do. Now he should have to pay, not us

Scott, you are soooo right. The irresponsible doctor should pay for the children he helped bring into the world, when this Angelina wantabe's plan backfired and she didn't make her fortune! And Howard, I would venture to say that the 80% who post on sites do not/or have not relied on charity or welfare. Maybe you are speaking for yourself, but I know I have worked since I was 14 years old, went to college and hold a pretty good job. I never relied on a reality show to pay my way in life and I am responsible for paying for 100% of my children's education; one a lawyer and the other a respected school psychologist.
