Russell Brand Arrested After Fight With Paparazzi Photographer at LAX

Funnyman Russell Brand was arrested on Friday at Los Angeles International Airport after allegedly getting into a fight with paparazzi photographers, E!Online reports.

Brand was traveling through Delta security with fiancee Katy Perry when photographers started trailing them. TMZ.com reports Brand grew agitated and allegedly pushed and hit several paparazzi. At that time, one of the photographers made a citizen's arrest, which the LAX police helped facilitate.

Brand was taken into custody and brought to the LAPD Pacific Division station; it's expected he'll be booked on suspicion of battery.

This isn't the first celebrity/photographer altercation at the Los Angeles airport. Last year, Kanye West also got into it with a photographer following him. He, too, was arrested. LAX officials told the L.A. Times they've been trying to reduce issues between celebrities and aggressive photographers at the airport.

Anyone who makes a living, following people through air ports and grocery stores should be hit. There needs to be a law to protect these people better. I can see them getting their photos taken at work, but after work, theres no good excuse to have cameras clicking by strangers as ones trys to make it home.
