Paris Hilton Pleads Guilty in Las Vegas Cocaine Bust

Paris Hilton pleaded guilty Monday to two misdemeanor charges stemming from her arrest for drug possession last month at a Las Vegas hotel-casino. She will serve a year of probation and avoid a felony charge under the terms of a plea deal worked out with prosecutors after the 29-year-old celebrity heiress pleaded guilty Monday to drug possession and obstructing an officer.

In court, Hilton admitted to the judge that she lied to an officer about cocaine found in her purse.

"I said that the purse wasn't mine to the officer, your honor," Hilton said.

Hilton must complete a drug abuse program, pay a $2,000 fine and serve 200 hours of community service.

She faces a year in jail if she violates the probation and is arrested for anything other than a minor traffic violation.

Hilton was arrested Aug. 26 inside the Wynn resort, after police say a small plastic bag containing 0.8 of a gram of cocaine spilled out of her purse.

Of course she won't go to jail, none of this surprises me, between her and Lilo nothing but losers. They beat the system and will be repeat and go to jail where they belong.

all of you are seeing this in the correct way. She is a loser, profiting from the Hilton names. They should luck her up for a year. She contributes nothing to society. In my opinion, she is a person of low character and she makes me sick. Go to jail Paris. The world does not need you.

Why would the prosecutors allow a guilty plea. It seems that this is an open and shut case. Let this skank do real time. Would the average Joe be allowed to cop a plea. This is unbelievable. Lindsey gets 90 days in jail and does 13. She gets 90 days in rehab and does what 22. What the hell is going on in this country.

OK people here is how it is: I DO NOT agree with drugs however, I say that ANYONE who gets busted and gets more time than Hilton or Lohan then turn around and sue the courts for being prejudice!!!!!!! Think about it.

Nothing surprises me anymore with Paris and LiLo. As long as the courts/justice system lets them get by with it, I am sure that small slap on the wrist was nothing to them but a good laugh. Anyone else would have been charged with a felony but a celebrity status gets them a misdemeanor. Do your job Judge and quit letting these trash dumpster harlots get by with felonies because their fathers put big money in your pocket so that you can change it to a misdemeanor.
