Seacrest Off the Market? 'Idol' Host Ready to Pop the Question to Julianne Hough

Get that champagne on ice, because sources tell me that America's favorite bachelor, Ryan Seacrest, is getting ready to pop the question to his special lady, 'Dancing With the Stars' beauty Julianne Hough.

"Things are really heating up between them," a friend of Ryan's tells me. "We have never seen him like this before. For the first time ever, he is taking a second away from work. We never thought he would ever meet anyone he liked as much as he does working, but now he has."

The 'American Idol' host, 35, has only recently started talking about his 22-year-old gal pal in public, and even then he tries to be discreet. During a chat with Ellen DeGeneres last week, he opened up ever-so slightly.

"I love that feeling," he said on his radio show after Ellen gushed about loving Portia de Rossi more every day, adding, "And I know what the feeling might be like."

The couple recently were spotted having dinner with his folks at the upscale Atlanta Country Club. I'm told that meet-up couldn't have gone better.

"Ryan's parents adore her," an insider tells me. "She is smart, beautiful and funny but even more important, she has made their son happy. Now, they are just waiting for him to pop the question. Which could be any day now."

That is going to be one amazing wedding. Can you imagine how great the new couples first dance will be?

You just need to read the "headline" and see who wrote it to know that nothing about what is written is anything but tripe. First, it is written as if middle schoolers are gossiping in the hallway. Second, the guy that writes these things never says who the "friends" are or the "insiders" that supply him with the "information" he spews. Does anyone really think that a friend of Ryan Seacrest is going to tell Popeater something personal?

Ha Ha! Ryan Seacrest is gay & the girl will be his trophy wife. Being gay is not bad & even if he came out, I doubt it would have any effect on his career. I don't see this marriage lasting & he will be the poorer for it.

The way things are now even if Ryan was gay, I don't think it would hurt his career. Think Ellen, Adam Lambert and so many others. It isn't like it was in the days of Rock Hudson, when he had to marry someone to squash the rumors about his sexuality. Now that I've seen Nick Cannon hosting AGT I think he would be a good host for Idol.

I can never tell (or care) whether someone is gay or not unless they tell me. However, I really did think Ryan Seacrest was gay.

I think Julieann is Mormon. Accordingly, she would not be having sex before marriage. Looks like she won't be having any after marriage either.

Too Funny. I just want to know if and when is Julianne returning to DWTS. She has been away long enough. As for her romance with Mr. Rare-mance; it sounds fishy. Dont believe it at all. Ryan is not the marrying type (gay or not) and Julianne is too too young (and a virgin, maybe that's what Ryan wants). What ever happened to that cutie-pututie-cowboy boyfriend of hers that was on DWTS with her? They were so cute together.

What's with all the speculation? Can't people just enjoy seeing two people happy, who cares if they are celebrities or not. I'm fans of both of them but would never go so far as to speculate on their sex life or relationship, but just take it at face value and let it go. Does it really give insecure people a feeling of superiority to act like they've got inside knowledge of something they don't. Please just stop with the stupid speculation. It's worthless and makes you look bad.
