Lady Gaga Proclaims Meat Dress as Gay Rights Symbol

When Lady Gaga called out to her little monsters and amped up her political campaign against "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" at a rally in Portland, ME, on Monday, people looked drunk on daydreams about Gaga for President. But that was before she confused people by comparing her famed meat dress to a political symbol for gay rights.

"Equality is the prime rib of America, but because I am gay, I don't get to enjoy the greatest cut of meat my country has to offer," Gaga proclaimed to the rally crowd. "Shouldn't everyone deserve to wear the same meat dress I do?"

Maybe her meat dress metaphor had more fat than muscle, but Gaga got serious without her crazy outfits and strobe lights, and rallied a passionate crowd against the controversial ban on gays serving openly in the military, the New York Times reports.

It was the latest move in Gaga's campaign for gay rights since last week when she made the repeal of 17-year-old "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" her personal mission, and even called out Senator John McCain in a YouTube video.

Instead of keeping with the status quo, Gaga proposed a new law for gays in the military.

"If you don't like it, go home!" Gaga yelled.

Like it or not, Gaga is up against some tough odds in Washington where the repeal of the policy faces a filibuster, but that didn't stop her from calling out undecided Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both from Maine, and Scott Brown from nearby Massachusetts.

The vote to open debate on the issue faces its first hurdle in the Senate on Tuesday.

You are right! Gaga could be in charge of the freak show. Seriouosly, she needs to stay to what she doesn best, MUSIC! She has proven herself to be a bit of a nut case, and someone who is very much out of touch with reality. I don't believe that anyone will take what she has to say seriously. I know I don't, but she is good for a laugh or two. What a waist of good meat that could have fed some homeless.

Lady Gaga need to shut up!!! Non gays need to stand up for our rights!!!Please dont let someone who wears animal flesh to the vmas put non gay people down. We are not going anywhere!!! Soldiers have a right not to room with Gays in the military. Non gays need to stand up and be HEARD!!! She support the dont ask dont tell debate, the law needs to stay in effect!!! People who dis lady gaga need to shut up. she is standing up for all of us gays and her outfits are more of a shock factor such as her proclaimed meat dress. lady gaga said "Shouldn't everyone deserve to wear the same meat dress I do?". Meaning that all gay (lgbt's) should be able to do anything that straight people do and should have the same rights as you straights.

I have NO clue as to what or who a lady ga ga is but Ill say this to you gay rights people.GOOD LUCK with that.Not sure how your sexual nature controls your life because mine doesnt control mine but people will love you ,people will hate your guts and the world will keep turning.Thats about it.You want to take to the streets to get something you think you arent getting then fine by me........
