Nancy Cartwright, the Voice of Bart Simpson, Sued for More Than $260,000

The actress who voices Bart Simpson on the Fox hit show 'The Simpsons' is being sued by an insurance company claiming she owes more than $260,000 for work her ex-fiancé didn't complete, TMZ reports. Cartwright's ex-fiancé, Stephen Brackett, killed himself in 2009, which resulted in his company Brackett Construction filing for bankruptcy.

The American Safety Casualty Insurance Company claims Off Vine Restaurant entered into a contract with Brackett Construction to fix it up. The project was insured by ASCIC.

The suit alleges when Brackett committed suicide and his company folded, the construction company defaulted on its contract. The suit also alleges Cartwright "had a financial interest" in the construction company which makes her liable for the unfinished project--and the money put into it.

In a surprising twist, the lawsuit also alleges that Brackett "diverted contract funds from the Off Vine Restaurant Project to the Church of Scientology, " of which Brackett and Cartwright were both members.

RadarOnline.com reports ASCIC is seeking $260,011.49 for their net loss in the project as well attorney fees and expenses.
