First? The Hoff Shocked 'Dancing' Fans Dropped Him So Fast
David Hasselhoff was feeling hassled after becoming the
first celebrity voted off 'Dancing With the Stars' on Tuesday. Friends and insiders close to the 'Baywatch' star and the hit show tell me David was shocked and humiliated by the surprising results.
"David thought he had a bigger fan base and just can't understand what happened," a friend of The Hoff's tells me. "He honestly thought he had a chance to win this competition. He would have never agreed to even participate if he thought for one second he would be the first to go."
And just like his dance moves, the bruised actor didn't exactly accept his defeat with grace.
"David is blaming everyone but himself for the vote," an insider tells me. "Backstage after the show, he was blaming the producers, the lighting guys and even the costume department."
Get this, apparently David is convinced if he performed in some 'Baywatch'-inspired red swim trunks and had more say in his choreography, he would never have been sent home.
You gotta admit, it cannot be easy to be the first to fall in a talent and popularity contest, but someone has to. Now, David joins the likes of Shannon Doherty, model Josie Maran and Belinda Carlisle, in being the first to go in their respective seasons.
"Of course, David is humiliated," a friend of the burly-chested star tells me. "It's embarrassing. If it wasn't enough to say goodbye to judging 'America's Got Talent,' now for the foreseeable future, he'll be the guy that America decided was less talented than 'The Situation' and Bristol Palin."
Ouch!

They voted him out, because he was bad. Ashamed why not, but he really should have been ashamed, when he was drooling all over his carpet when he was on a binge. That should shame him, but it did not. So why should that shame him.

He didn't even TRY to dance, but walked around swaying his hips. UGH.!! NASTY LOOKING.!! I knew he'd be the first off because he has such a BIG HEAD AND ATTITUDE. ACTING like that after the show went off the air shows what a jerk he is. Can't take responsibility for what he didn't do, and that was dance. I feel sorry for his daughters. AND now even more. He's a drunk and needs to clean up his act.
Hes a disgusting old has-been drunkardthats thinks more highly of himself than the telvision audience do. According to his feelings.... hes a true narcasist. Look it up.
I agree 100%. He's a good actor though. I watched the clip when they announced he was out and he looked and talked like it was no big deal, i.e., wasn't bothered at all. He would be better off if he quit the drugs/booze but some people just don't get it.
Yes valeskas, he got voted off because he "danced" worse than everybody else, but also because he made a fool of himself. He obviously has an extremely high opinion of himself, and people with that problem always think they can do no wrong, and when they do, it's always someone else's fault.
Just watching him, one got the feeling that he was convinced that he was sexy and a great dancer. But only HE thought that. I'd say it's time he goes back to Germany where he is worshipped like the god he thinks he is.
Have you ever done ANYTHING in your life that you are ashamed off? You may not know this, but we all have issues to deal with. Just may be different than The Hoff. Doesn`t hurt to be kind.
Well said Shasha...well said!
I don't watch the show, but did Jennifer Grey have plastic surgery? Her face looks weird....not the same. I can't explain, but she has that severe look that she didn't have before.
Yes, Jennifer Grey had a nose job.
Nobody likes an egomaniac!
Wow, I wasn't surprised by the Hoff getting voted off. But, I think they should stop giving Kym all the really old guys. She is a terrific dancer and I think she deserves a win. Just my opinion :)

She did win ... with Donny Osmond.
Kym did win with Donny Osmond. Kym is a great dancer/instructor, but Donny did NOT deserve to win.
I agree, she is a great dancer but they have saddled her with some real gogs. I always like Edyta Sliwinski but she always got the dregs from the bottom of the barrel.
i like david h. but i'm sorry his dancing was not dancing, he kept his mouth opened almost the entire of his dance i'm not surprise he was the first to go. and bristol could not dance either, she just moved her partner moved more than her.

Bristol wasn't even in the bottom three Get A Life
Drunks don't often have the coordination it takes to dance well.
I don't care much for David but that's not the issue. The Margoret Chao or whatever her name is, should have gone first or at least second to Bristol Palin, the only thing on her (Bristol) that was moving was her costume. And Margeret should not even be allowed on the floor of this highly viewed show. Producers better watch who they choose or they will begin losing viewers.
Wait - he was voted HOFF the show first?!?
