First? The Hoff Shocked 'Dancing' Fans Dropped Him So Fast
David Hasselhoff was feeling hassled after becoming the
first celebrity voted off 'Dancing With the Stars' on Tuesday. Friends and insiders close to the 'Baywatch' star and the hit show tell me David was shocked and humiliated by the surprising results.
"David thought he had a bigger fan base and just can't understand what happened," a friend of The Hoff's tells me. "He honestly thought he had a chance to win this competition. He would have never agreed to even participate if he thought for one second he would be the first to go."
And just like his dance moves, the bruised actor didn't exactly accept his defeat with grace.
"David is blaming everyone but himself for the vote," an insider tells me. "Backstage after the show, he was blaming the producers, the lighting guys and even the costume department."
Get this, apparently David is convinced if he performed in some 'Baywatch'-inspired red swim trunks and had more say in his choreography, he would never have been sent home.
You gotta admit, it cannot be easy to be the first to fall in a talent and popularity contest, but someone has to. Now, David joins the likes of Shannon Doherty, model Josie Maran and Belinda Carlisle, in being the first to go in their respective seasons.
"Of course, David is humiliated," a friend of the burly-chested star tells me. "It's embarrassing. If it wasn't enough to say goodbye to judging 'America's Got Talent,' now for the foreseeable future, he'll be the guy that America decided was less talented than 'The Situation' and Bristol Palin."
Ouch!

Typical alcoholic mentality - it's everybody else's fault not mine (I can't dance). Wasn't he recently on late night talk show saying that he couldn't dance and would probably go 1st?

The Hoff needs to face facts; he's not ALL THAT. He danced like a chunk of wood, looked ancient and made weird faces while he was on stage. Anyway, he kept saying he didn't care if he won or lost so what did he expect? I would imagine that some of the bad publicity he has had over the pat few years didn't help either. Showbiz is a hard life and it hasn't done Master David any favours. Time to retire sweetie.

Who else besides David really knows if this bothered him? Nothing
that is reported in the media can be trusted as the truth.

maybe he should have got drunk b 4 dancing....then he would be the 1st to score 30 points on opening day...............

HOFF your a freaking freak of nature and an idiot, you cant dance, you cant act, and most of all you cant sing....give it up and go hide someplace your a hasben....

I love the Hoff and it was really sweet the way his girls were talking to their Dad, but there was something off about him during the dance, like he wasn't really all there. He didn't even try, sort of walked around. I was surprised though that the Situation or Bristol Palin didn't go first though. The Situation eas a joke and Palin was very Gosselin-like also just sort of standing there in place kicking her leg up and shaking once in awhile. What these stars don't understand is that this is one show where the fans ultimately put through the best dancers, its not a popularity contest and The Hoff just didn't seem to take it very seriously.

He said on the internet that he wanted to lose on DWTS so he could sleep with her (who in there right mind would want to sleep with him is beyond me). First of all I think if she would have known that there would have been some problems on the show because she is a professional and there to win.I feel sorry for her because he got what he wanted and took her down getting it. I don't think in any way ,shape, or form she would sleep with that he is a MESS!!!!!!!!

Quite honestly, I thought Cho and the Jersey Shore kid were worse than Hoff. But, get over yourself already, Hoff. You were pretty crappy on the dance floor.

I didn't think he did great, but I thought he was better than Miss Palin. I heard (no joke) that Kate Goslin gave her some pointers.....it showed. Poor kid, I was actually hoping she would do well. Anyway, he shuldn't point fingers at anyone than himself if he was voted out.

This guy has one of the worst egos in the world. He is 58 and rips his shirt off as if its 25 years ago. He still thinks its Baywatch time. He thinks America adores him like Germany apparently does. He blamed eveyone on Earth for his losing but himself the article said. He was awul, he pivoted his hips while the young woman danced her heart out trying to carry him. I guess America isnt as in love with David as he is with himself.

He should have never even went on dancing after his daughters
put the video they made of him dead drunk on the floor trying to eat a burger - I couldn't even watch it, it made me sick. I think a lot of the viewers watching dancing still seen that video in their heads...

He calls THIS humiliating?? Hey JERK ... You've been HUMILIATING yourself for YEARS, but were TOO DRUNK to NOTICE.....

This guy has an ego as big as the all outdoors. I bet he is a pain to work with..

He said he would not have participated if he knew he would be the first voted off???? What a great sport! Sounds like a child saying "If I can't win, I'm not gonna play!!!"

I didn't vote (never have) but, if I DID, he would have been the FIRST to go. He's just so "smarmy". I have always found him to be rather creepy.

I didn't see anything worthwhile in his dance steps, some folks are born to dance, others have to accept they can't. If he felt that bad, he should of tried much harder, seemed he was more concerned about his appearance. He does look like his mirror is his best friend dontcha think???? I keep saying, don't do gimmicks, seems none of the judges care for them, stick to dancing...Margaret Cho most likely will be next...

It's sad when Hoff thinks he's still the stud of 20 yrs ago. He's stuck on stupid. His dancing was truly, absolutely lousy; that's why the public asked him to go.

Get rid of Palin, next.

how old is David H?

I have to admit that there were several in this group that could have gone first, and with good reason. There were a lot less surprises that were good dancers than I've seen before. Hopefully things will improve otherwise it's going to be a pitiful "Dancing" season!
