First? The Hoff Shocked 'Dancing' Fans Dropped Him So Fast
David Hasselhoff was feeling hassled after becoming the
first celebrity voted off 'Dancing With the Stars' on Tuesday. Friends and insiders close to the 'Baywatch' star and the hit show tell me David was shocked and humiliated by the surprising results.
"David thought he had a bigger fan base and just can't understand what happened," a friend of The Hoff's tells me. "He honestly thought he had a chance to win this competition. He would have never agreed to even participate if he thought for one second he would be the first to go."
And just like his dance moves, the bruised actor didn't exactly accept his defeat with grace.
"David is blaming everyone but himself for the vote," an insider tells me. "Backstage after the show, he was blaming the producers, the lighting guys and even the costume department."
Get this, apparently David is convinced if he performed in some 'Baywatch'-inspired red swim trunks and had more say in his choreography, he would never have been sent home.
You gotta admit, it cannot be easy to be the first to fall in a talent and popularity contest, but someone has to. Now, David joins the likes of Shannon Doherty, model Josie Maran and Belinda Carlisle, in being the first to go in their respective seasons.
"Of course, David is humiliated," a friend of the burly-chested star tells me. "It's embarrassing. If it wasn't enough to say goodbye to judging 'America's Got Talent,' now for the foreseeable future, he'll be the guy that America decided was less talented than 'The Situation' and Bristol Palin."
Ouch!

What gets me is that everything about her (Palin) is about her Mother (who sucks) Why can't she just be herself and show us what she's got (not much so far)

I think that the judges did him in from the start. They weren't generous to him at all like they were to the other beginning dancers. That kept his score too low for the public to pull him up. He wasn't the worst dancer, Bristol Palin was. She had a simple dance and was frozen in motion. It's not a fair contest....it's just entertainment !

I don't care if any one cheats and it is a very personal matter.
What happened to respect in this country.

The Hoff's dancing had nothing to do with him leaving. The human population is just tired of seeing this "has-been" on t.v. all the time. If my dog could type, he would have voted for almost any one else also.

He should have never went on dancing not after his daughters made a video of him dead drunk on the floor and trying to eat a burger. It was so sickening that I couldn't even watch it. Probably a lot of viewers of dancing couldn't get that video out of their heads - because I couldn't...

I thought Bristol danced pretty good. However, Florence H, Margaret Cho, Mike the situation, & David H were far worse. Lets keep it real.

He thought he had a bigger fan base!!!!! This guy is a total no talent, but thinks he is God's gift to everyone. David, the car was the better actor in your first series, and the only reason anyone watched Baywatch was because of the hot girls running around in tight swim suits, not because they had any interest in you dumb dumb. He is a star in his own mind, but no where else.

David has nursed his 15 minutes for decades...amazing run with the car show and baywatch and what not...but it is over. Sometimes geezers don't know when to retire and end up stripping the gloss off of a career. Course his drunk thing didn't help either. David: sober up. Stay off the booze and go fishing. Or quilting. Or whatever old folks do.

If David H wants to win a popularity contest he needs to enter one in Germany where they love him and they think that he can sing. Otherwise, here in America, he is a has been and those tapes his daughter made are not helping matters at all. Those of us who were unfortunate enough to see him sing and "dance" on AGT already knew he would fail miserably.
Besides, I read an interview where he wanted to throw the contest because he has the hots for his dancing partner and she would not date anyone while they are on the show.

He sucked and he's a jerk. This ain't Germany where he said he is 'loved".

Fan base??? What fan base??? David "Hoff" has so much love for himself, no one else need apply. The poor guy needs a dose of reality.

Why is it that people (in general) are all to willing to accept praise and to reject criticism whether or not either is deserved? "Super-ego" Hollywood types, most especially!

I thought Brook's dress was hideous Monday night. Cut way too low. We want to see dancing, not "boobs" Shame on her! She has how many children?
Reply
Brook has the body so she can wear that type of dress. What does having kids got to do with anything? She is a show business personality who looks terrific.
I like the Hoff even though he has a terrific drinking problem. However, he really was the worst dancer of all the contestants. Instead of just dancing he had to gyrate around like a stripper and that was truly disgusting. He is not a young guy anymore, but he doesn't realize this and thinks he is still a sexy guy. I thought Bristol was pretty good - better than Hoff for sure. I think if Hoff had not tried to be a sex bomb he might have gotten more votes.

I think he has an eye problem. No... Make that an "I" problem - as in "It's all about me!"

Once again Hoff is telling america u don't
know crap... He's still upset that his record
sold 23 copies in america & was a hit in europe...

You can see by how glazed over his eyes were and how he slured his words he was drunk. I was rooting for him But as soon as I seen him,you can see something was not right. In rehearsal people could not understand him because his speech was so Slured. My brother and father were Alchoholics and I noticed the Hoff was high right away. To Bad.

It was either "Hoff", the Situation (again, what does that mean?) Margaret Cho or Bristol -- and yes, it's all ego -- and he thinks if he was in his red bathing suit, it would have helped? I think not. As for Bristol -- she can't dance -- but she was a bit better than Hoff -- she won't last long either.

Get real all you Palin haters. Why keep mentioning the Situation and Bristol when you refer to the "bottom dancers?" Bristol was far from the bottom in style and form. Your bottom dancers by any fair and unbiased appraisal were Hoff, Margaret Cho, Michael Boulton and Kurt Warner. My choice to be bounced was the unfunny Cho. Bristol, a non professional, was beautiful, vivacious and did extraordinarily well for her first attempts. To say anything less is to be a prejudiced, petty bonehead. I will go on record and say I think Bristol will make it to more than half way through if not to the very end.
