Country singer Shania Twain has stayed under the radar since her 2008 split from husband and music producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange, popping up only for a quick stint as a judge on "American Idol.' Her 14-year marriage to Lange ended after he started a relationship with Twain's longtime friend and assistant Marie-Anne Thiébaud.

But Twain is ready to break her silence--in an autobiography that will be published in spring 2011, the Associated Press reports. In the yet-to-be-titled memoir, the singer will talk about her challenging childhood, including the tragic death of her mother and stepfather, and navigating the male-dominated world of country music. She'll also talk about the recent events in her private life, including the break up of her marriage.

"There have been moments in my life I was concerned by the reality that tomorrow would never come. Recently I experienced one of those moments to an intensity that brought on a sudden urgency to document my life before I ran out of time, before I had the opportunity to share an honest and complete account of my life, in my own words," Twain reveals in a statement.
