Critics are raving about David Fincher's 'The Social Network.' Word on the street is that the combination of Fincher's stellar direction, Aaron Sorkin's powerhouse script and epic performances by Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and, most importantly, Justin Timberlake make it a lock for a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards. No, that wasn't a typo. This is the performance of Timberlake's brief career as an actor, and it couldn't have come with a more game-changing movie.
As Napster co-founder Sean Parker, Timberlake is Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg's puppeteer and mentor. JT steps up his game in 'Network,' injecting a cool and sinister confidence into his portrayal of Parker. And as longtime fans of the singer-songwriter-producer, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to help turn JT into an even bigger superstar. We simply couldn't. We knew he had the pop music chops, but before 'Network,' he'd never really been able to translate his charisma into cinematic gold. Now, Timberlake is primed for major Hollywood stardom, and with that in mind, we officially launch our very own Facebook campaign to nominate Justin Timberlake for an Oscar this year. But we need a little help reminding the Academy that JT is the hidden gem in the best movie of the year. Join our group now and spread the word. Let's make it happen!

Nooooooooo! He sucks so hard as an actor, every time he appears on SNL he's so irritating and impressed with himself. I'm excited to see "The Social Network" and he was the only detractor for me.

Your obviously just a hater. Timberlake has been one of the best hosts of SNL. You don't win emmy's for hosting for being bad. I saw an early screening of the Social Network and Popeater is right. He deserves to be nominated for best supporting actor for his role. He was fantastic. But then you have to be adult enough and objective enough to get past just hating someone to actually see how great they can be. Something tells me that isn't you.
Julie, you hater you! It's obvious that you are not allowed to have an opinion contrary to "abby", who has appointed herself as the guardian of this topic. What were you thinking, Julie?!?!?!
Damn Julie! All that 'hate' spewing all over this posting. Such venom. Such ungodliness. Why can't you be more the the Abbies of this world and only have kind words to say about things that turn you off. All hearts and flowers, all the time. Now wouldn't that be special? As for you Abby, who the hell came up with that 'hater' crap anyway? Is it too hard to say 'disliker'? Cause that's what it most often is...someone disliking something or someone and expressing their opinion. If you can't take an opinion that's contrary to yours then post a reply with your own viewpoint, but drop the 'hater' BS. Separate yourself from the rest of the ninth graders.

I've always enjoyed JT on SNL, find him funny and a GOOD actor. Hope he does well in his acting career.

I agree. He is very funny on SNL & look forward to more appearances from him.
Who is Robbie Williams???

WHY???

Timberlake is without a doubt one of the most talented singers in the world, but acting, not so much. Why would anyone but teeny bopper girls be pushing for an Oscar nomination when the film hasn't been released yet? In other words they're wanting him to be nominated whether he's good or not. Now Eisenberg is a very good young actor and I understand that he is the real star here, not Timberlake, so I imagine if anyone were going to get a nomination, it would probably be him. But then again, he is very young.

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! One of the most talented people in the world, what the F _ _ _ are you smoking, crack????
These campaigns are ridiculous especially considering the movie isn't out for another week. This kind of nonsense just further denegrates the prestige of having an Oscar. I mean Julia Roberts won one. Who next Keanu Reaves? *snickers

I actually hope Andrew Garfield gets nominated, he was amazing in Social Network, and I can't wait to see him in Never Let Me Go.
And I don't agree with Oscar campaigns, this is absolutely ridiculous. People should not be nominated because of their popularity with the public, but on the calibir of their performance.
