Katy Perry's chesty duet with Elmo won't make it on the air. The segment has been yanked from the TV broadcast of 'Sesame Street' due to feedback from viewers on YouTube. TMZ claims that some viewers were less than tickled by the amount of cleavage the singer showed during her performance of 'Hot N Cold.'In the video, Perry shows up to play with the little red muppet, but he isn't exactly up for the fun. Perry then breaks out into a kid's version of 'Hot N Cold.'
Producers found the segment to be too hot for TV -- even though her bare chest is reportedly covered in flesh-colored mesh that goes all the way to her neck.

I think the video is cute they should go ahead and show it anyways her outfit is no more or less than what you would see in any other kids show.

I have two kids and they watch a lot of kids shows and I haven't ever seen anyone dressed like this on them.
Also that's not "flesh-colored" netting. That's sheer netting, you can clearly see through it. In my opinion it's too much boob for Sesame Street. I don't know why they costumed her in that way. I mean remove the v and fill it in some towards her arms and you're golden. The concept was cute and very appropriate I thought. I don't know why they don't just digitally fill in her top. BTW my kids were breastfed and they definitely notice when someone's "nah-nahs" are showing. So I do think kids will notice, but it could be fixed very easily. No need to throw out the baby with the bathwater.
its not any "other" kids show... its seasame street. they are the standard in children's educational programing. Katy just wanted to be provocative. She could have dressed more conservative for the children.
How sad this was pulled. Kids would have loved this. The age group this was targeted for would not have even noticed the cleavage.

I love Kate Perry and the video was adorable. Some people have trash in their minds.

Especially when it's bouncing around in front of you!
This video was absolutely adorable. Kids will be laughing away at this. I guess people don't see the other things their kids watch. Cartoons have more stuff in them that shouldn't be. I think people who think this is offensive should stop watching tv all together.

You damn bible thumping repubs are amusing... there was nothing wrong with that video... maybe she should have worn a wetsuit to make you idiots happy

I agree that the video is adorable and that Katie isn't wearing anything that the kids don't already see when their mom runs around the house in a tank top. But don't label the folks that disagree bible thumpers. You have no right.
Heyes, I'm a republican....and I thought it was cute. There was nothing offensive about it. I agree with the general consensus: the producers should have made a determination about what she was wearing in pre-production, if they had any concerns.
I am a Republican and I thought the video was cute and should be aired. Honestly people, Lighten up! I have a son and I would have NO problem with him watching this video. As someone else pointed out, anywhere you go, even Church people are dressed inappropriately. Just stop watching TV now because there isn't anything on that you will approve of.
Na, a wet suit might show she has a figure, then they will go off about how it's a bad imagine for all the fat little girls who are being told fat is good. God forbid we encouraged girls to watch their diet a little and realize fast food is evil, oh wait, that would require todays mom's to actually cook something. Guess thats why we fear the attractive people, it might became expected and then todays moms would have to do something. Cant have that can we !!!
Its a shame because it is a really cute video and I showed my kids and they had no reaction re: her "bust". Adults need to remember that kids first impressions do not involve T and A as some adults do.

I just showed this to my 6 year old son. My son already has a penchant for brunettes... you want to know what he said after this video was done?
"Can I watch that again?? Elmo was funny!!"
Kids are paying attention to the monsters rather than the humans on this show. People need to lighten up.

Are you kidding me? You people need to get lives... There is nothing wrong with her dress.. evidently people who have a problem with her dress don't go out much.. Go to a local wedding and you'll see alot worse.. and that's at CHURCH!

I thought that was so cute. There are things much worse on tv, so what the kids won't notice anything but Elmo jumping all over.

Elmo has nothing on, so do all the monsters that I can recall on Sesame Street.
