Katy Perry's chesty duet with Elmo won't make it on the air. The segment has been yanked from the TV broadcast of 'Sesame Street' due to feedback from viewers on YouTube. TMZ claims that some viewers were less than tickled by the amount of cleavage the singer showed during her performance of 'Hot N Cold.'In the video, Perry shows up to play with the little red muppet, but he isn't exactly up for the fun. Perry then breaks out into a kid's version of 'Hot N Cold.'
Producers found the segment to be too hot for TV -- even though her bare chest is reportedly covered in flesh-colored mesh that goes all the way to her neck.

It is a shame that the segment had to be pulled, it was adorable & I know my 4 yr. old nephew loves that song. I think Katy Perry is a great entertainer, & I am definately not prudish but the dress was inapropriate. Great for the stage but not for a preschool show. I'm sure she would have bounced right out of the top in a couple of scenes if they didn't use adhesive. Because little kids don't understand, we have to set examples of apropriate behavior & dress. Atleast when making a show for them.

Katy is a doll but I agree for a children's show, her clothing is a tad innappropriate, however, why didn't the PRODUCERS of Sesame street correct this from the get-go and there wouldn't be a problem.

This is cute everyone needs to get a grip....... Watching ice skating, dancing with the stars you will see more skin.Or at a swiming pool. Who picked her dress? Katie is cute with ELMO.

I thought this was adorable. the dress could have been a little more covering both top and bottom but I really don't think it was inappropriate (sorry if spelt wrong). I think the kids would just be happy to dance and sing to the song.

That's just silly people talking. She said she is playing dress-up! So of course she is wearing princess clothes. No 3 year old I know will care her breasts might be showing a tad. They will be too busy dancing and laughing at Elmo.

I am about as conservative as you can get,but this is overreaction. Ms Perry's redeaux of a catchy tune is reminienscence of the muuppet videos my daughter loved as a child. She is now in college and very well adjusted young woman.

If I had not just read this story I would not have given it a second thought. Then again, I'm a heathen liberal East Coast intellectual.

This was so cute. There was nothing in poor taste at all. I have raised four kids,my oldest in his 20's and youngest 5 and they are all very clean cut wonderful kids. This is silly to pull this off the air. Thanks for letting me vent.

As a dad of a two year old girl let me just say this clip was super cute. I bet alot of dads would be watching this episode! : ) Think it would have been even better if she sang "I kissed Elmo and I liked it" ; )

The video was adorable. My son watched Elmo in the video, not the cleavage. There was nothing wrong with that video. It should not have been pulled! Granted, another shirt with a bit more material would have been better, but kids that watch this show are at an age where they don't have a clue about what they are seeing. Some people are way too conservative and have their minds in the gutter. Let the show air!!

I actually thought this was very cute and up to date for Sesame Street. My 4 1/2 yr. old would have loved to see this. Chances are a child wouldn't even notice it. I hope Sesame Street reconsiders it's decision.

Ugh... There are several things wrong with this video. First of all, why ask her to do a song on Seasame Street at ALL? She is not kid friendly, sings adult (if you even want to call them that) songs, dresses in very little. What about "Katy Perry" says "Hey! Let's see if she will do a song on Seasame Street with Elmo?" Can we not find ANYONE at all that has morals and keeps there clothes on to do these things? And if the answer is no, then keep the over exposed "celebrities" off the show to begin with! The song she is singing has cuss words in the original version and though they are removed, why even go there? And I keep hearing "Oh geez! They are just kids! They won't even notice her boobs!" Well if that is the case, COVER THEM UP! Lets be a little more careful and protect our kids from crap, people!

I totally agree. She shouldn't have been asked at all
Does anybody remember that GEORGE CARLIN, of all people, played the conductor on Thomas the Train?
Watch what version of a person the kids see. This was a cute, perfectly kid friendly version of KP. Because she ACTS inappropriate, does not mean she is. Or maybe she is. Whocares? This video was not!
Awful lot of stone throwers.
Your dead wrong Tina and judgemental as well and your prude. I saw nothing wrong with the skit or what Katy was wearing the kids would be just dancing and singing the song wouldn't have seen the skin which isn't much.
I thought it was great. My kids would be dancing around to it, very upbeat. Maybe Elmo shoud be banned from TV!! He has no pants on!!!

Ths video is very cute, and Mr. Elmo has no problem with the dress. Kids won't notice it any more than noticing Belle's golden, strapless ballgown or Cinderella's light blue, strapless ballgown. I recently costumed a production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast" and got some flack from the audience about the three silly girls being too busty for their kids to see. Their dresses were recreations of the clothing worn by the same characters in the movie.

I'm a heathen conservative east coast intellectual and had no problem with the video. It's not how you dress that defines vulgar, it's how you act! Now if KP was gyrating w/ Elmo, I would be seriously disturbed.

this video would be equally "adorable" and less offensive if she put some cloths on.
