Katy Perry and Elmo's Chesty Duet Pulled From 'Sesame Street'

Katy Perry's chesty duet with Elmo won't make it on the air. The segment has been yanked from the TV broadcast of 'Sesame Street' due to feedback from viewers on YouTube. TMZ claims that some viewers were less than tickled by the amount of cleavage the singer showed during her performance of 'Hot N Cold.'

In the video, Perry shows up to play with the little red muppet, but he isn't exactly up for the fun. Perry then breaks out into a kid's version of 'Hot N Cold.'

Producers found the segment to be too hot for TV -- even though her bare chest is reportedly covered in flesh-colored mesh that goes all the way to her neck.

Her appearance on the long-running children's series was set to air as part of the show's 41st season.

I AM a Bible thumper, and while I wish most people on TV would wear more clothes, I am not offended by this outfit and my 2 year old and 6 year old could watch this. My little girl loves this song! How about we be offended by things that really do matter?

There is nothing wrong with this video...No young child is going to notice her clevage. If this is such an issue then someone should have done something about it when she was there on set. At least she isn't wearing raw meat like lady gaga! Give the girl a break!

Katie has talent. She is darling....I was happy to see her singing with Elmo....I was also happy to hear that she wont be able to go live with that outfit...it bothered me to see her with Elmo and in that outfit...my grandson is six years old and he is watching women a lot.....please people, lets keep the children as innocient as possible...life is tough, lets try and keep childrens lives as innocient as long as we can...Katie, try and dress wisely...your talents are amazing....you do have the responsibility to do things appropriately...its all we have for boundaries.....just cover up...thats all there is to it...not a big deal...just try and do what is asked of you...thank you!

I think this was cute as well. I dont believe she is showing too much cleavage. Katy is wearing what Barbie has worn for years, does that mean that little girls are not allowed to play with barbie either!! Get a grip sheltering your child will NOT make your child any less curious. OMG!! This deserves to be aired bc it was very cute.

This was a cute video. Too bad it will not be shown. Adults need to grow up. Kids does not have the same mind frame as an adult. I'm sure it was insecure wives that had a problem with this.

BRAVO to the people who put a stop to the outfit.....Its all about the children.....lets think of them...we have to have boundaries...values....innociece...its all they can count on...life is hard out there....lets please try and do what is asked of us...even though we want to fight back..just relax and enjoy a fun show for children...just cover up and everything will be okay...its not hard to do what is asked...its harder to fight...takes more time,energy and stress...relax everyone...elmo will love a more covered up singer...she is adorable...costume change...big deal........

Okay... if she had MAJOR cleaveage showing I could understand; however, she's not even "very well endowed". Kids see more skin at the beach. Some parents really need to get over it. I saw the video... it's cute & I would have NO problem with my child seeing it.

I also think this is aborable. There is nothing wrong with it. The media only posses it as bad because people want to see it as bad. If people really followed Katy's work, they would know,that's just her style.Its not at all like she is trying to flash little kids,its just her being her...cute. So let all just leave it alone.We've got more important things to worry about in this economy today than taking something so innocent & trying to make it dirty.

I don`t see nothing wrong with this? Sesame Street Shot this and could have Katy to change her outfit. Kids can see women in the real world dress like that and see it on the evening News. I don`t kids are going to get turned on? When I was little My mother wore Tubetops. I this will be allover the web by next week You have to blame Sesame Street for this!

I'm glad they yanked this. I'm not worried about her clevage or lack there of. She just looked plain ridiculous in the outfit, in my opinion. And the "kid friendly" version of Hot N' Cold sucked as much as the original. I could see why Elmo didn't want to play.

I think Katy is cute singing this song. I do however, think that the outfit was a little too revealing for a young children's show. Isn't there a costume person who should have made certain the outfit was appropriate for the show? Too bad, because Katy is on of my favorite perfomers and she was adorable.

People are ridiculous. i just let my 2 year old watch it and all he cared about was where did elmo go. he didnt care bout katy at all or what she was wearing. people need to just leave well enough alone.
