Matt LeBlanc is not joking around when he says he wants to put his 'Friends' past behind him. On Tuesday evening, a UK Mirror reporter called him Joey, the character he played on the hit TV series, and LeBlanc went crazy. The incident started when the 43-year-old actor clumsily knocked into the reporter's table, sending glasses flying. "You all right, Joey? How YOU do-in?" the reporter joked. But LeBlanc wasn't laughing and allegedly raged, "I'm not Joey. Don't you dare call me Joey. The papers say I'm finished, so don't call me f**king Joey. I want to leave that all behind. I'm moving on."

I have a hard time believing this story except for the fact Matt looks great.
Mandy are you delirious? 'Friends' wasn't that successful?? Also you have no idea what Matt has or hasn't been doing...just because you don't see him on a weekly show doesn't mean he's not working. You need to get a clue, you're probably too busy watching reality shows to know what's going on.

Mandy said the show "JOEY" wasn't very successful. Not the show "FRIENDS". Everyone knows Friends was successful. Pay attention before you reply foolishly.
Friends not popular??? What we do know is that each of the 5 main cast members Ross, Rachel, Joey, Monica and Phebe all made one million dollars per episode, I would hardly think they would get that big of a paycheck if the show was not popular.
Way to go!!

Such a HAS BEEN! He should embrace the fact he is remembered for something! Freaking ingrate! All he did was play a stupid airheaded character for crying out loud! How difficult is that?
Someone needs to get over himself - the rest of us have!

What an ungrateful little weasel. At one point on Friends, the weasal was making one million dollars per episode. Joey is your defining character and will be for the rest of your life. You're not so talented that you will be able to leave this character behind. Get over it.

Yeah, he wants to leave it behind, but he's not leaving the money behind.
Would he like to go back to be a struggling actor before Friends made him a multimillionaire? I would truly love financial security and surely would be happier for it! Can somewhat understand their aggravation during interviews but lighten up.

Joey, this is the show, that made you rich. Shame on you.

Not only did JOEY tank, his marriage/family tanked when he slept with his co-star. No wonder he's bitter.

Matt LeBlanc wants the "public" to realize he is an actor, not the character he is portraying, right? The problem is that the "public" that watches his performances is to stupid to differentiate the two. This "public" believes reality shows are just that, REAL. They believe that T.V. characters are actual people, they react to these characters as they would their real-life acquaintances. He needs to do live theatre where the audience discusses an actor's interpretation rather than "I cannot believe what Joey just did".

Seriously??? We are ignorant. Gee so Opie is still Opie or a Great Director??? Do you think that Rob Reiner is still a "Meathead". Thank you for your declaration but I do believe that we know the difference.
Hello! Before you tell people that they are "to stupid" check yourself. That would be "too stupid". Stupid.
I'm thinking that maybe "Joey" and "Kramer" should get together and have their own tv show.... It could be about two guys that have Tourettes Syndrome.... well you get the rest.

Matt is the luckiest guy alive, he became a millionare by just being around people that can really act... Him, not so much...

Wow. Joey hates Friends as much as I do!

Publicists, if they have them, should ensure that stereotyped, out-of-work actors never drink. It would be beneficial.

Matt would be waiting tables if it weren't for Friends. Why did he do the Joey spinoff if he didn't want to be known as Joey.

you need to replace STAR with HASBEEN. this idiot hasnt been relevent for years, if ever.
