His rep warned earlier this week that soccer superstar and father of three David Beckham would fight lurid reports that he was guilty of trysts with prostitutes.

Sure enough, the 35-year-old Brit has followed through, going forward with a major lawsuit against In Touch Weekly magazine.

The suit, filed Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleges libel, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to RadarOnline.

Irma Nici, 26, is also a defendant named in the documents; she's the former call girl quoted in In Touch saying she had slept with Victoria Beckham's husband on multiple occasions -- including unprotected sex and a threesome -- back in 2007.
