That was fast. Just before midnight on Friday, Lindsay Lohan was released from jail. The actress, who confessed a week ago on Twitter that she was ready to "face the consequences" for her latest slip-up, spent little more than 13 hours locked up in Lynwood, Calif., according to People.com, after flunking a court-ordered drug test (in which cocaine was reportedly detected) in violation of her probation terms.
Her previous stint behind bars began July 20, and she was freed on Aug. 2, after serving 14 days (shortened from 90); she went straight into rehab but her original three-month stay was also shortened.
Earlier on Friday, Lohan had been denied bail in Beverly Hills Superior Court by Judge Elden Fox, but his ruling was reversed later in the day by Judge Patricia Schnegg after Shawn Chapman Holley, the actress' lawyer, appealed for her client's right to bail.
After the new ruling, Lohan was permitted to post $300,000 bail. Now, she must be fitted within 24 hours with yet another "SCRAM" bracelet (her third) to monitor any alcohol intake.
And the habitual night owl is also ordered to quit her favorite haunts on the club scene: the new ruling requires her to stay out of any establishments where "alcohol is the chief item for sale."

This is absolutely ridiculous!! Just another example of "power, privilege, and justice"; or in this case, lack of justice. Were she an unknown with average means, she would have been in jail this entire time, and would be staying for a while!!

The american justice system is a big joke!! All these so-called notables appear to be above the law. There is no way I could get away with half the stuff this chick has pulled!! Lohan, Hilton and any other celebrity should suffer the same justice you and I would get. The judge told Lohan, you screw up and your going to jail. Well, she screwed up, jail is where she needs to be. But now another judge with no guts give her chance to hit the streets again. I am so sick and tired of the American selective legal system!!!!

We don't live in a land of equality and democracy....we live in a land with the illusion of these things.

Shawn Chapman Holly should be locked up as well. What is wrong with her.. doesnt she see this is in her client's best interest? Whats it gonna take for everyone involved with Lindsay to see what she needs.. this people make me sick, including the Judge who reversed the decision... she's not going to abide by the "laws" .. she will do whatever she wants .. this has been proven. I feel bad for the Judge that put her in jail for the 30 days... this is totally ridiculous.. bailing her out.. why didnt they just leave her there to get the help she needed. If Shawn Chapman thinks this is "in her client's best interest to be bailed out" she better think again .. when something happens down the line.. its on her conscious.

AMERICA is a great place to live! Some are removing the "word" GOD from city, state & federal building so we can stay politically correct - we fight wars to aid countries who's people don't want our help - gangs are taking over ordinary citizens with intimidation (we should bring back the Italian "Mob" to clean up the mess our government created) - drugs - mega thiefs - the list goes on & on... WE PUT THESE SO CALLED STARS ON A PEDESTAL, BELIEVE THEY ARE TRULY AN INSIRATION & ALLOW THEM TO WALK AWAY AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. MY BELIEF WOULD BE TO SEND THE JUDGE TO JAIL FOR NOT DOING WHAT THEY ARE PAID TO DO!SPECIAL TREATMENT WILL ONLY END WHEN LOHAN HURTS AN INNOCENT PERSON... I hate to say it but, there are millions of young girls in our country already hurt by the likes of the Britney Spears & Lindsey Lohans who have the spotlight on them for having no talent at all.

You have got to be kidding....out again. This girl is nothing but a piece of trash, just like mom. She has been given every opportunity and laughs in everybody's face. She'll continue to do what she does because she knows the systme will go easy on her....aww poor Lindsey!!!!!!

They should lock up the judge and Lindsey for 5 years ..This judge must be an Obama product too stupid to know anything

You are the stupid one. What does President Obama have to do with years of celebrities getting special treatment by the CA judicial system? I quess none of this was happening when Republican presidents were in office.
Her attorney "appealed for ... right to bail" Does this mean LL actually HAD such a right in this situation? I'm not a lawyer and don't know. If she did, however, the judge may have had no choice but to grant it. Maybe that's the problem...too many "rights" for offenders keep too many on the streets.

Bs talks, and money walks. Every time in this country.
The same laws should apply to everyone, not two sets of laws.
One for the rich and famous, and one for us working stiffs.

you have to remember, this is california after all! their 'so called celebs' are their gods. so yes, in california, they are above the law! see, money can buy you anything! i would say leave her alone and let her kill herself, however, she would probably take some innocent person with her while driving drunk or worse.

Typical celebrity justice.I wonder who paid off that female judge who overturned the other judge's ruling? Backdoor deals are so bad these days.Lohan probably end up with an overdose like so many others.

Who really cares anymore! If it was me or you we would have been locked up the whole 30 days. Next time I read about her it will be her obituary.
