Looking smashing after delivering baby No. 2 in August, 'Parks and Recreation' star Amy Poehler returned to her old stomping grounds in midtown Manhattan to host the season premiere of 'Saturday Night Live,' using her monologue to recall a harrowing, stagefright-induced dream she had.Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon ('Weekend Update' co-anchors before Poehler got promoted to the big desk) snuck onstage to ratchet up the anxiety level, preceded by Kristen Wiig, who tried intimidating the nervous host with slick choreography.
But for just a moment, when popular 'SNL' guest Justin Timberlake (who's generating 'Social Network' Oscar buzz) strolled up and asked for a sexy smooch, Poehler's visions seemed downright dreamy.
Until JT gagged. Watch the whole monologue, and trippy dream sequence, in this clip.

"Until JT gagged."
Probably a lot less staged than it appears.

The skit about O'Donnell was absolutely hilarious...so true to life. The girl acted just like her, ditzy and empty-headed.

Yeah, too bad O'Donnell's won once and will do it again. Enjoy.
lolabull: Do you seriously think O’Donnell is going to win in November? Really??? Really??? Oh, you poor deranged, demented thing.
Poehler Perfect! Phenomenal show all around. Loved all the cameos by past cast members. Poehler did a great job and wasnt a "skit-hog" like so many guest hosts in the past(sorry Tina Fey). She looked good too right down to the platinum Farrah-do!

I really enjoy Amy Poehler. Can't wait for Parks And Recreation to take over for that God awful Outsourced at mid season.

We must have watched different shows. The monologue and Actor II Actor were fun, and Weekend Update had its moments, but overall, the writing sucketh. The first show out of the box should be a lot stronger...doesn't bode well for the year ahead.

Loved, loved, loved this episode, so glad we're out of reruns.
