Brad Womack Named the New 'Bachelor' (Again!)

It's official: former 'Bachelor' Brad Womack will return to the show and continue his quest to find true love, PEOPLE reports. Womack, 37, shocked 'Bachelor' fans in 2007 when he rejected both of the final two bachelorettes, DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft, on the finale of season 11. Now he's getting a second chance to find his soul mate.

The news was revealed during Monday's 'Dancing With the Stars.' "Brad, this time, pick somebody!" quipped 'Dancing With the Stars' host Tom Bergeron.

"At first I was skeptical," 'Bachelor' host Chris Harrison told PEOPLE. "But the more I thought about it, the more I fell in love with the idea of him coming back, getting another shot." Never before had a 'Bachelor' or 'Bachelorette' rejected both finalists.

There was quite a bit of backlash after Womack made the decision-causing him to go into hiding.

"I don't think Brad deserved as much of the anger and resentment from the fans," Harrison says of the treatment Womack received from fans. "He's come out a better man and I think he's ready to do this."

The next season of 'The Bachelor' premieres in January 2011.

I will not watch it this time with Brad Womack again as the bachelor.

I thought he was weird and,frankly, dumb around the women.It is a no go for me, and I have been a fan for along time.

Also, I was REALLY getting tired of seeing Jake Pavelka on TV. AND to boot, he (obviously) made a very bad choice with Vienna.

Are the producers having trouble attracting bachelors and bachelorettes? The quality has gone down recently.

Chris L. should have been the next bachelor. You might still have me as a viewer if he was next.

That's one hard-up guy if he can't find a girl on his own like the rest of the normal guys do. Shows he's lazy and wants to be in the spotlight. One more strike, you're out!

I agree, I have been a fan of the show, but didn't really enjoy his season before and this most likely will be the year I don't watch again. I wish they would go back to original choices and stop revisiting people who have been on and lost before.I love this , So does My boyfriend .he is almost 11year older than me .i met him via agegapsingl es.c 'om a nice place for seeking age le ss love.which gives you a chance to make your life better and open opportunities for you to meet the attractive young girls and treat you like a king. Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends.. Just love it

Really! Are they running out of prospects for the Bachelor/Bachlorette or what? Don't know that I can sit through him again. And why should he get another chance in the limelight? Didn't he get enough exposure after the first try? Maybe it wasn't in a good way, what he got, but there was no guarantees for him any more than for the girls!

Totally agree w. PONU.....what makes him so special that he deserves a second go round???!!!! With all the women he meets at his 'club ', can't believe he has that much trouble meeting women!! Also agree, the quality of the show has gone down; why do we need to recycle guys, when there are soooooooooooo many bachelors out there who are deserving of a shot to meet their soulmate!!
