Don Lemon on Live TV: 'I Am a Victim of a Pedophile'

Don Lemon, a news anchor on CNN, chose a live discussion on the sex scandal surrounding Bishop Eddie Long to reveal on Saturday that he had been sexually abused as a child.

"I have never admitted this on television," Lemon told three members of Long's church. "I am a victim of a pedophile when I was a kid. Someone who was much older than me."

Lemon then continued talking about the cloud of suspicion surrounding Bishop Long, the megachurch pastor who is accused of abusing several male teenagers that attend his congregation, the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church near Atlanta.

"I have never admitted that on television. I didn't tell my mom that until I was 30 years old," the 44-year-old newsman added later.

He later thanked his Twitter followers saying "I had no idea I'd say that on national TV. It just came out. Sadly, it's the truth for so many young men."

Well - doctors do it too! When I was 15 and needed my nose fixed my mother took me to a doctor who made me get undressed down to my panties and wouldn't give me a robe then gave me a pre-op exam - without a nurse in the room! The dirty old man didn't have to see my breasts to operate on my deviated septum did he?? I didn't tell me mother because back in the those days nobody believed a doctor would do anything wrong! Always felt violated by him, plus he wasn't that good of a surgeon!

This guys is as guilty as the day is long. The way this minister has acted is EXACTLY as a pedophile acts! EXACTLY! These people are idiots who have NO EDUCATION about pedophilia. If they would read a book about pedophilia they would know that he is a pedophile. A normal man does not put his legs across a 17-year-old boy while reading scriptures. I always look at what a normal (non-pedophile) man. My 3rd stepfather, before he was married to my Mom and when I barely knew him, decided to give my 2-year-old daughter a bath while she stayed with him and my mom for only 18 hours without my presence. That minister is most definitely a pedophile and should be prosecuted and sent to jail. And forget rehab. These guys are experts liars and thousands have been interviewed and they all say that rehab helped them learn how to get away with their molesting. Anyone who has ANY doubts here should read the book "The Socially Skilled Child Molester; Differentiating the Guilty from the Falsely Accused" written by Carla van Dam, Ph.D. You will know without a doubt that this man is a pedophile and it will also give you the education to talk like you know something instead of being in the dark like the rest of the world.

Kel, you are an uneducated idiot. Read a book and you can then spout your mouth off. Until then, you are ruining any help for children of abuse and you should shut your uneducated mouth. You QUITE OBVIOUSLY know nothing about pedophilia and you are talking like you have only made it through the 6th grade. Right on Nashville! I think of those two who lured and murdered Matthew Shepard because he was gay. What they were really doing was "purging" themselves of their own gay feelings and actions. The ones who holler "I'm not gay" the loudest, are ones who usually are.

My heart breaks for all victims of pedophilia. Do some research, however, and you'll realize that this has nothing to do with homosexuality. It's happening to female children, as well - and is a mental illness - not a sexual preference. This is yet another reason why healthy, consensual gays and lesbians are viewed as immoral and sick. We're not, but pedophiles are....of any sexual attack.

It's not JUST little boys that are abused, little girls have LONG been known to be abused, most of the time by family members. That makes it even more disgusting. This sort of thing shadiers a childs ability to TRUST any one and sadly even enjoy a sex life when they get older.
