George Lopez, Wife Split After 17 Years of Marriage

George Lopez is soon to be a single man.

"George and Ann Lopez have made the decision to end their 17-year marriage," a rep for the actor-comedian told PEOPLE. "The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement."

"They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation," the rep continued.

The pair have one child, Mayan Lopez.

In 2005, Ann donated her kidney to George. At the time, Lopez told the magazine, "I can't pay her back, but what I can do is make her as happy as she thought I would when we first got married."

You Got that RIGHT ,as for she should have given him balls instead of the kidney.. If Mothers all over would raise their sons to be FAITHFUL, RESPECTFUL AND SINCERELY HONEST MEN. Maybe little boys would grow up to me Real Men (with balls) who put their families first and always. When one decides to create a family (spouse included), one should be very serious about it and see it all the way through and Not till it is inconvienent for them. Look around you, this culture of divorce, remarriage, divorce and remarriage producing multiple children with multiple spouses is just not working well.
